If UConn wins the Big East tournament...

...it would be about as impressive as winning the NCAAs, just looking at how difficult a feat it is.

    Five games in five days.

They've already beaten #22 and #3 in the country just to make it to the semis, and teams remaining in the tournament include #4 Notre Dame, #11 Syracuse, #14 Louisville, and #17 St. John's

And to think no upperclassmen to speak of.

if Walker coems back for his senior year next year, Huskies will be a legit final four team.

Why, they'd have at least 5, probably six days off.

don't be so sure, he loves Ct. and the kids he plays with, plus Calhoun.
Look what happened to Donald Brown, he should have stayed his senior year.

UCONN will go deep in the tourney this year as long as Kemba stays healthy. Hell of a player for sure.

It's a tough call here. Either they are spent from 5 Big east games or they are one of the top teams. If they make it out of first weekend lookout. Only bet against on their second game and if they survive ride them out.

depending on their seed i will have them losing in the first weekend most likely. don't the teams that do this every year to win the big east tournament get knocked out of the bracket within the first weekend.

Tourney games are a lot different from regular season games. Take UConn for what they are, a pretty good team, that can play with anybody when every possession counts in do or die games i.e. Maui and Big East Tourney...

That is quite a feat to win all those games in a week.

using your logic, people should bet against on first game as well, where they'll be big favorites.

It's easier to get hot over a weekend then over 2.5 weeks of the big dance. Winning the Big East is not more impressive as winning the Big Dance. You have days to scheme for your opponent in the Big Dance, you see teams you haven't seen before in the Big Dance, you have to play in different arena's in the Big Dance, travel, deal with family, school, GF issues. The pressure of the Big Dance is 100x more intense...

UConn did very well and it's a great feat but if they go and win 5 games in the Big Dance they will have my respect. Look at the 2006 then the 2007 UF Gators. They swept the SEC tourney, then the Big Dance, then the very next year, swept the SEC tourney again and the Big Dance, back to back and the closest win was against Georgetown in 2006 where they won by 6 points... ALL OTHER GAMES IN THE SEC TOURNEY AND THE NCAA WAS DOUBLE DIGIT WINS. They won 17 straight single elimination games by double digits. That's some incredible shit. Go look it up. You'll never see another team win back to back both conference and NCAA and you'll never see another team win all but 1 by double digits.

^^ 5 games in 5 days, no rest, playing against rested teams.

UConn had a harder road to the BE title than any team will have in the NCAAs, most likely.
