Opinions on Va Tech -5 vs GTech ????? ? ??

Va Tech party too hard after the Duke win ? OR were they not that good to begin with ?

They have lost 2 straight since the win, and now face Gtech in the opening round.

Gtech on the other hand after a up, and down season has won 2 in a row. Crushing Wake, and beating up Miami.

What do you guys think ?

public is all over V-Tech but it seems like these conference tourneys are all about the underdogs... but there is some horrible underdogs playing tomorrow... hard to back teams like Wake, LSU, Auburn, G-Tech but if Rutgers & USF and countless other hopeless teams with nothing to play for can cover or win out right then why can't G-Tech?

V-tech is on Skid-row. They blow dick, and their coach is trash.

Georgia St. is trash, w/ a trash coach. Nevertheless G-Tech is looking for revenge, as V-Tech ran up the score on them to the tune of 25 points.

    Georgia St. is the play.

vtech is the play here, they're playing much better and g-tech can't win regardless of any revenge angle

The big news out of Virginia Tech's open practice here in Greensboro on Wednesday is the uncertain status of forward Jeff Allen. The Washington native injured his right ankle in Saturday’s loss at Clemson and hasn’t practiced much since.
Allen participated in some drills Wednesday, but for the most part stood on the sideline and watched as his teammates went through final preparations for Thursday night’s first-round matchup against Georgia Tech.
Upon leaving the floor about 10 minutes before the conclusion of practice, Allen had a slight limp as he ambled down the Greensboro Coliseum hallways. When reporters were allowed inside the Hokies' locker room, Allen’s right ankle had ice taped to it, but he said he expects to be in the lineup against the Yellow Jackets.
“I ran on it a little bit,” he said. “I feel like it should be okay tomorrow.”
When asked whether Allen’s ankle is an injury or an inconvenience, Coach Seth Greenberg responded, “It’s an injury that will be an inconvenience.”
****As for freshman Jarell Eddie, Greenberg got to face another set of questions regarding the forward’s status with the team during this week’s tournament. Eddie is dealing with a marijuana-possession charge stemming from a Feb. 15 incident and did not play against Clemson.
But as has been the case for the past few weeks, Greenberg wasn’t too keen on providing many details as to whether Eddie would play in the ACC tournament. All he said was: “He’s here. If you want to talk about the game [Thursday], I’ll talk about that.”

Hokies senior forward Jeff Allen tweaked his right ankle against Clemson on Saturday. He is expected to play, but the injury is worth keeping an eye on. Virginia Tech won’t make it far without Allen, one of only two ACC players this season to average double-figure points and rebounds.

Virginia Tech announced at 11:47 p.m. Wednesday that true freshman Jarell Eddie has been suspended for the rest of the season.
Georgia Tech will take on the Hokies at 9 p.m.-ish tonight in the first round of the ACC tournament.
The decision means that coach Seth Greenberg has seven scholarship players on his roster.
Eddie averages a mere 2.9 points and 2.2 rebounds per game, but he did score 17 against Wake Forest four games ago.
Eddie was arrested for possession of marijuana in February. He didn’t play in the next game against Virginia following the arrest, but appeared in the next three games before Greenberg benched him again for the regular-season finale against Clemson.

The key for VT tonight will be taking care of the ball. Georgia Tech finished as one of the best defensive teams in the league, ranking first in turnover margin, turnovers forced, and steals per game. The Jackets forced 16.3 turnovers per ACC contest, including 9.6 steals per game. GT also has a + 2.3 turnover margin in conference contests this year.
