    End of Rutgers/St. Johns Game

2.1 seconds left, St. Johns player throws the ball out of bounds, game over?

Should've been a technical foul as well (which I haven't seen or heard anyone mention yet), if I was Rutgers' coach I would be raising holy hell.

You can clearly see AT LEAST 2 seconds left on the clock, what the hell is going on at MSG right now?

He stepped out of bounds with 1.7 sec left. It should have been Rutgers ball. Then they should have called a technical for throwing the ball in the stands. Rutgers should have gotten 2 FTs attempts and the ball. Awful, awful officiating.

If it was a conspiracy, then the officials wouldn't have called that blocking foul in the last minute on Rutgers to give SH free throws

Big east said it was a bad call, but there was nothing they could do about it under NCAA rules.

They should go to a 5 minute sudden death period with rutgers down by 1 at the start

One of the worst calls I've seen in my lifetime watching a sports game.

Just saying in general, I didn't have a dime on the game, but WOW. You can look at the replay a million times and you'll see he stepped out of bounds with PLENTY of time left on the clock. The Big East excuse is that "it's not reviewable," and they gave that excuse a half hour AFTER the game was over....

They don't care though. They wanted St. Johns to move forward any way for better ratings or whatever. I'll tell you what to, if Rutgers did some how move on, I honestly think they would've given the 'Cuse a run for there money.

Looks like the player got confused by the coach or someone approaching him, he's probably so excited when he saw that person he figured they had won.

Didn't have any money on it myself

There were a series of bad/blown calls by the officials down the stretch but the play in the last seconds was the most blatant. Another black eye for CBB.

best comment.lol. when the camera's showed the refs right after the game ended they were high tailing it out of dodge. it looked like they were already half way out the arena headed for the bookie.
agree with everyone here, monumental F-up.

So NCAA does not have rule to review plays near game of game?

Another example of why Tim Higgins is the worst ref in the country, every game he does has some controversy. If you watch the games he refs, there is always coaches yelling and screaming at him. Usually there is a technical called because he blows a call and a coach goes ballistic, or if he really blows a call he just gives the coaches his smug face and that "i'm in charge here look". Guy loves to draw attention to himself and stare down players and coaches to let them know who's running the show. Plus, he looks like he's drunk with his old man drunken red nose, they should put this guy down like a derby horse with a broken hoof.
