started to feel like Cal might be too sharp, surprised to see the same patterns they used successfully in the Washington Arizona game yesterday. I can picture lots of small paranoid bets backing UCLA and some heavy plays on Cal trying to outsmart the system...should be interesting.

It's more simple than that to me -- Cal is garbage and getting worse as the season progresses. I have a hard time backing a team like that, even though I love short home dogs.

I hear ya, I approach each day differently depending on whats trending and try to stay on the opposite side of the trend. For all the reasons you would hate Cal would be all the reasons why I would like them. I just figure no matter what you can think of as an edge or research or whatever has already been factored in by the odds makers x 1000. I've gave up several years ago trying to out-think/outsmart the lines makers and just decided to try and get on the same side as them. Just 2 different approaches, but as you know there are 1,000's of ways to approach this business.

I consider myself a tight player, even if a team is "due" I have to see something I view as a tip-off before I'm willing to commit $, if not there is always another game right around the corner. The things I find the most helpful for CBB is team totals, player props and where the money is, offered live, stats, ats records, etc all is secondary for myself.

I like how he down played everything pregame, limited minutes, probably shoot a few jump shots because us old guys have to save our legs...after watching the 1st 3 possessions I knew that was a lie, got to give it to him though that up and under dunk in the 1st was nice. But if jacking 26 shots while posting 37pts 13reb 3ast 3stl is not going for the MVP I don't know what is. King James had a small argument with the triple-double (29pts 12reb 10ast) since Jordan was the only other one to do that.

Only two other players have won the MVP in LA, that were not from an LA team. Games was slightly rigged.

I'm just glad the West got it done, when the East cut the lead late in the 4th I was starting to regret passing on insurance as high as East+925, wish I could have got some action on Kobe MVP I saw people posting numbers as high as +500.

Oh yeah. Two things that matter when handicapping that no one pays attention to. Rebounding, and Free throw percentage.

ODU out-rebounding Cleveland St. sealed the cover. Other than that Cleveland St. was in the game.

The team that is similar to ODU is San Diego St. I know they are ranked #6, but they arent even close to that. They dominate the competition on the west coast, b/c they are much bigger than their opponents. Therefore they get extra possessions, and score on offensive rebounds. Once they start playing bigger teams they wont have that advantage, and will be subsequently exposed. THey are horrible fomr the Free Throw line, and dont have high shooting percentages from the field, or three point range. If San Diego St. plays a big team in March Madness, take the other team ATS.

In short ,my opinion is that in all ball sports the key is possessions. Have more than your opponent, and you will most likely score more points.

But this weekend San Diego St, will cover against BYU at home in a revenge game.
