Las Vegas casinos have been up and running efficiently since the early 1940s; El Rancho Las Vegas opening in April 1941, Sahara in October 1952, Venetian in May 1999 (was previously the Sands, opening in December 1952), Bellagio in October 1998 (previously the Dunes, opening in May 1955), Mandalay Bay, etc.
Why did I google this to find the information?
Because there is a reason why all of these places are still in business... they toy with most bettors, baiting them into "lock" and "too good to be true" plays. That is why I look and watch fairly hard on line movements, percentages, etc. This does not work all of the time and that is not the only thing I look at when I make my plays. But there is a reason vegas has a line at what they have it as, and I make it my personal responsibility to find out what that reason is so I can go against the public and essentially side with vegas.
Every site that I use to check percentages and line movements have Weber St as the public favorite, with anywhere from 68-74%... this could quite possibly be a public slaughter, but hindsight is 20/20.
So, why should we bet SJST if not solely on line movement?
Well, Weber St is definitely a solid team, with a 15-9 record. But they are 3-7 on the road, avg 68.7ppg, giving up 74ppg. SJST is avg 75.1ppg at home, are already 3-0 against teams from the Big Sky, and the team is playing at a decent level. The past 2 games, they are shooting from 3-pt land 52.2% and they have the second ranked leader in scoring in Adrian Oliver.
I sense a very high scoring scoring game, and I sense that vegas will make some money on this game; at least I hope so, because....................
Wich St and the Drex Under were not big plays I had, so it was sort of a dont sweat it type of deal, but I was real frustrated Brown didnt cover... but luckily, I was able to make a solid read on SJST, and come up with a solid profit... cant wait til tomorrow though
