Utah State is not #17 in the country

This is quite funny because I no the teams ranked below them would all beat UTAH STATE

    #18 Kentucky
    #19 Florida
    #20 Missouri
    #21 North Carolina
#22 Texas A@M ( Maybe could steal that ) MAYBE
#23 Saint Marys will beat them in the BracketBuster Match Up
    #24 Vanderbilt already beat them
    #25 Minnesota

If any of those teams you listed went to the Spectrum, they would all come away with a loss IMO. As for hosting Utah St, that's a different story, but feel they could still take out some of those you listed on the road.

Utah State will be interesting in the first round of the tournament. They might get seeded high enough to get a team they can surprise.

By the way, what do you think that line will be at St. Mary's?

Utah State has pulled of March upsets before and this team is probably better than the team that had Rock and Roll.

They wont be playing on there home court during the tourney. There fore that equates to a loss for a team whos coach said they dont no how to win games on the road

Only 2 losses which were both on the road. First loss was at BYU and only lost by 6 points. They could prolly beat some of those teams if they were at home.

Dude its college hoops. What a team is ranked is irrelevant on a large scale. It just brings prestige to schools, and helps them recruit.

The 68 team tourny sorts out the weaklings. Trust me.

Utah State doesnt recruit for shit man. It doesnt help the school at all either. They play in the WAC know one cares.

    Trust me

exactly, that looked like a team that had no internal support considering the tenure of senior coaching staff...you let idaho punch you in the mouth repeatedly your 22-2 record looks soft, fluffy, unimpressive and irrelevant.

How can you say that a small school not known for hoops, like Utah St. being ranked in the top 25, won't help recruiting? I understand that they lost and will be out of the top 25 next week, but it helps show a 17 or 18 year-old kid that the program is relevant and winning, and if they came to that school, they'd have a chance for national recognition.

All the good ranked teams have a few junk losses where they look like they should be in the NIT! It sucks but it's true. Look at Syracuse losing streaks for no reason...nova losing to rutgers ect. Ohio state is the only one that's made it. College kids just stink some days. Utah state cost me money last night but so have other ranked teams that have collapsed this year.

Utah State will be a #7 or #8 seed when it's all said and done....

Did you see that Idaho gym? Does it even seat 1000? I've seen community college gyms with more seating than that.

Surprise, surprise. Utah State isn't a great road team. Doesn't anyone want to know why? Its because not only do they not schedule road games east of the Mississippi River, they don't even schedule road games east of the Rocky Mountains! For years, Utah State head coach Stew Morrill scheduled the softest non-conference schedule ever on the basis that his team shouldn't have to put up with 2-for-1s with major conference teams. The end result is a team that would go 26-2 or 25-3 every year, lose to Nevada or New Mexico State in the WAC tournament, and end up in the NIT despite their gaudy record because they'd not only have 0 RPI Top 100 wins (just like this year), they've only PLAYED 3 RPI Top 100 teams!

Major conference schools get ripped on for trying to purchase a 20-win season with a soft non-conference schedule (like Cincinnati, where Mick Cronin will probably lose his job if they don't make the tournament). Yet Utah State does this EVERY SINGLE YEAR and they're not even a major conference school.

The only time Utah State got away with this was in 2006, when the selection committee awarded the final 2 #12 seeds to Utah State and Air Force despite 0 Top 100 wins for either of them because they believed they needed to give more west coast teams bids. They did this despite several major conference teams having better at-large resumes getting left out. CBS' announcers tore the selection committee a new one at the selection show because of it.
