Pitt is NOT a gift tonight

West Virginia is the fave for a reason. Do you really think the books are that dumb? Take the mountaineers.

Interesting Pitt is good at home but away from home they have been shaky at times. Just saw a Super Bowl go the publics way though so wouldnt suprise me if this went to Pitt either

Gibbs avgs around 16 per game, if he is out the line should be higher than that. Its a trap

If you look at a team like Indiana which has beat superior teams without a few of their top scorers, and Northwestern who lost by 1 to OSU without their top scorer, usually a does not fall off the face of the earth when a player goes down.

When a premier player goes down on a good team, they still have the system built around that player meaning his replacement still will get 20-25% of possession just as that star player did. 16 points is that replacement hitting 5-6 shots and a few free throws over the course of a 40 minute game. CBB isnt quite like a QB going down in football where that team immediately takes a plunge because of the dependency on one player.

Couldn't agree more, and Pitt rapes teams on the boards. Second chance points for Pitt is what will win this game

Despite the rankings, not overly impressed with Pittsburgh. Lines about right West Virginia or nothing on a monday night home game.

This is his first game out. I want to take WVU because gibbs is out and they're playing at home. But Pitt is a better team. I'm leaning towards WVU-1

pitt is not overrated but it hard to win on the road in the big east. pitt struggled against rutgers and pitt has a tough time in morgantown. add that this is the first game without their star.

You have two options in this game:

    1- Take WVU

    2- Pass on it

You'll be rolling your dice if you take Pitt here even though they got a shot at winning, theres better plays on the board.

WVU is at a season defining point. Two big losses in a row could mean lights out for the mountaineers for the Big East and the tournament. Take note as to what happens tonight, and act accordingly in games to come.

I am on WVU tonight, they have their backs against the wall at home in a hyped game (backyard Brawl). Pitt is missing a key player.
IF i lose tonight , I make my money back by fading WVU for the rest of the season.
    Good angles in my opinion.

WVU beat Purdue at home, who is arguably a better team than Pitt. Pitt lost at home to Tennessee in a game where they played less than zero defense. Followed that up with a home loss to the worst road team in the Big East in Notre Dame. There really are no elite teams in the Big East this year. Yes you could say 11 teams might make the tournament but I doubt any get to the Final Four.

Pitt is supposedly deep and interchangeable so I guess that shows how valuable Ashton Gibbs is. I'm small on WVU and looking to middle it at halftime if possible. Its a rivalry game and 70% of cbb games are won by the home team, which is why the NCAA adjusted the RPI a few years back. That being said, Big East teams have been disgustingly god-awful at home this year, so who knows what'll happen.

This is the biggest game of the year for WVU. Huggins will have his team ready to play after their terrible performance on Saturday - you will see a much better effort on the boards and I think he's done teaching Mitchell a lesson. Year in and year out pitt has trouble going down to west virginia; doesn't matter if they have the better team, the environment and a hungry mountaineers team will be the difference. This game will go under the total as well.
