I take your approach. I don't touch them at all. Too much disparity in the teams, and too many young emotions involved.

Without inside knowledge it is pretty much a lottery.
Standard of play from team to team and player to player is so inconsistent.

I check to see which player got a brand new car and then bet against his team.

I mostly look at underdogs. There are plenty more big upsets in college hoops than any other sport imo. I like seeing the revenge factor in there as well. In fact I play a lot of ML dogs. Right now I am playing a lot of BigTen dogs.

Bet MMA JJ! Big UFC fight tonight and I got some winners for ya!

    Best of Luck!!

I do the same. For me, I try to follow the Atlantic 10 conference very closely and it's helped immensely. I stay away from teams I haven't seen play (like everyone on Friday nights) or teams that haven't treated me well this season.

Play of the day for me is UCLA over St. Johns

I used to analyze common competitor, strength of schedule, conference etc. Now I take two tennis balls and write a team on each one. I throw both tennis balls in my backyard and whichever one the dog comes back with is the play. It works much better than my old way.

Take the school colors and add the R, G, and B together from the pantone color scheme. Whoever has a greater number will cover spread.

oh, add 3 for home team.

I took -3 and think UCLA should win by 7 or so.

St. Johns going across country with an early start (10 am )..and coming off that huge win against Duke

UCLA is the play for me

Not saying you are wrong, but the early time should have more of an impact on UCLA. The game starts at 1:00 eastern - a time St. John's is used to playing. How many 10:00am Pacific starts does UCLA normally have?

Generally a little buzzed-up as to not over-think the line moves or else it's like Sex Panther--Works 50% of the time, all the time.

I try to watch for an over-reaction in the market. For example, love for Jimmer Freddette has inflated BYU spreads since the San Diego State game.

I look more for "situational" capping, especially during conference play. Home-road disparity is helpful also.

    Two (2) Methods:

    1. False Favorite Excel File Formula Program
    2. Inner-Lang Capping (I read Lang's past write-ups as I have 15 of them saved on my laptop and try to cap games like Lang would).

I look at teams that are comparable by competition -conference rivals or fairly close .then look at strong home records vs. weak road records if the line is 5-6 points I will play it but my main plays would be to parlay 2-3 teams that fit this model. moneyline

It seems due to lack of talent college hoops is very inconsistent

No dominant teams anymore and anyone can beat anyone

i try to get to know the players. you know, hang around the gym after practice, talk to their parents and teachers. then i just trust the fact that at least they try unlike the dogsht NBA.

Pay attention and watch as many games as you can. Stick to one conference and never bet on teams you haven't seen play.
