i'm not saying SH can't follow-up the Syracuse win.
but every once in a while a team has a hot shooting game..
way hotter than normal.. and that is almost never duplicated.
consider at Syracuse, the Hall shot:
54% FG
73% FT
58% 3P (on 17 attempts)
and here are their averages, including that outing:
41% FG
68% FT
30% 3P
ok, a 5% diff in FT is nothing.. but the FG was way higher than
normal and the 3P was insane.
Providence on the other hand in their victories against Lou and Vill
was right in the normal range. They simply played better in the non-shooting categories, correcting mistakes which caused them to blow leads or fail
in crunch time.
Game could go either way.. but SH win over Cuse was just a freak day
for them, whereas Prov upsets were based on fundamentals.
