its too fishy to take right now. these lines that i listed are messed up. the seton hall vs syracuse did this yesterday too. seton hall smoked syracuse. wise guys arent dumb
would love to see some actual stats that back up following reverse line movment thus far in NCAA baskets.
It is something that everyone talks about but in my experience seems to hit about 50% of the time - at least this season thus far.
61% of bets on SDSU (thespread.com). Line has gone from +4.5 to +5.5 since it opened. It's reverse line movement. I don't know if it's enough to care about. But no way I'm betting against BYU in this one. Very tough place to play in a big game like this.
The RLM I've had my eye on, though, is Nova/Providence. With 82% on Nova, their line has moved (at some books at least) from -6 to -5.5. Somebody thinks Providence is going to give Nova a game tonight at home -- like they have this month against St. John's, and Pitt, and, of course, Louisville.
I thought the line was moving in Nova's favor? For BYU to cover, SDSU would have to play they way they did when Wisconsin-Green Bay and IUPUI almost smoked them.
