I got in at -7 right before the line moved to -7.5.......seems like a great bet...only thing that worried me was stanford being unbeaten at home...Thia is a very good Washington team though
...Wow I am thinking Washington wins this game by 10-17 pts...2nd in the nation in ppg (88.9), 15th in rpg (40.8), 6th in assists (18.3), 10th in fg% (.491)....Stanford is ranked 250th (66.1), 230th (34.2), 288th (11.2), 153 (.442%).....Washington has played a FAR more difficult schedule than Stanford with key games against Kentucky and MSU....Also, Stanford has only scored 89 or more points (Washingtons avg. per game) one time...against Arkansas Pine Bluff who is sporting a solid 1-14 record overall....I see this Washington game as a no brainer...Washington by 10-17 without a doubt..
Every time I have bet AGAINST Washington this season I have lost. There was even a game in which Washington was down 10 midway through the game and they still won by over 20.
Everytime I have bet against Stanford this season, I have won.
Shouldn't I stick to the trend in and take Washington here? Washington scores a lot of points, Stanford does not. I also feel like Washington is a lot better than Stanford. The line is right about where I expected it to be even though I think Washington wins by 12 at least........
The only thing holding me back is how easy it looks to me. I need more opinions.
lol You know my opinion...I can't imagine Stanford winning this game or even staying close....The "faster" team will control the tempo...There is no way Washington doesn't run up and down the court all over Stanford...There is no chance Stanford can score points with a team that puts up 90 a game...
There has been talk in the Seattle newspapers that a prominant UW basketball player has been listed as a suspect in the rape of a 16 year old girl. The entire team has made the trip to the Bay area for the two games, but the team may not be as focused as normal.
Not sure if this changes anyones bets, just throwing info out there.
As a lifelong Stanford fan, I'd LOVE to put my money on the Cardinal getting that many points at home but there's no way I can. Washington always crushes us at Maples. Or at least the have for the last 3 years.
Stanford ends the game on an 18-7 run. When UW was up 49-40 I looked at the stat sheet and thought "hmm, Stanford is going to spend the next 11 mins running at the basket until they hear a whistle while Washington is going to chuck 3s." And I was right.
Stanford is just the sort of up-and-coming team that first place conference teams lose to on the road. I mean nobody goes undefeated in conference play after all and if its going to happen anywhere it might as well be on the road.
And to think, I only took this game because I thought my UNC ML bet wouldn't hit.
