    not being a smartass but have you ever watched a Big Ten game..... Both teams usually end up in the 60's or lower no matter who they are-

    Thanks for the input fellas. I've got 136.... Which still isn't much of an edge but I'm leaning over for some reason.

    Chili - I understand what you're saying. I went to a MichiganState v Wisconsin game a few years ago and it was brutal... the total at halftime was about 30.

    Yeah, a lot like Purdue/Michigan yesterday. We're talking in both cases about sweet 16 contenders vs. teams that might not even be NIT-worthy. I'm aware that any team can beat any team at home in the B10, but I think that better applies to the "dog days" of the B10 later in the season. In the opener, the contending team needs to get off to a strong start to set the tone. No letdown. I'm on Illinois -4 too. Not sure I like the over though. I got this something like 70-60 Illini.

    You cannot compare a Wisconsin/MSU game from a few years ago to today. Back in the mid-2000s the Big Ten was starved of talent, teams with no talent usually take a lot of bad shots, miss open looks, and play slow down ball because they can't score.

    This year, the Big Ten is the best conference in America, stacked with teams loaded with talented veterans like Jon Leuer and JuJuan Johnson and McDonalds All-Americans like Jereme Richmond, Keith Appling, and Jared Sullinger. Plus, Iowa has a new coach who likes to play uptempo, but with such a bad team at his disposal all that means is they're not going to play defense.

    The line is a joke, a cautious one posted because its still winter break and Illinois lost to UIC. They'll win big because at the end of the day, if you want to finish in the top 5 of the Big Ten and get that first round bye in the Big Ten Tournament, you *must* sweep teams like Penn State, Indiana, and Iowa.

    ahh .. i am having trouble with this game ... Illinois needs this game if they want to be hanging near the top at the end ... I know most people on here will attack me for saying that but you know Mich St, Purdue teams like that will come in and get big road wins ... every game is important and I know Iowa is improved so I am scared about this one too .. well see if I play it ... over looks to be the play which is odd

    Iowa's the same team as last year except worse defense because they're trying to play more uptempo. I predicted 86-69 Illinois and they're well on their way.

    Knew I should have went much bigger on this.

    Also, was going to take 1st half...kept looking and waiting hoping to get -2 -110 instead of -115 and figured I could always take that before the game. Totally forgot and never got it. Oh well. Still did well.

    Had a feeling that total was WAY too low. I cashed a ticket but it was very small.... wish I went bigger. 167 total points - about 35 points over the posted #. Easy Winner
