**Notre Dame at Michigan**

--Most sports books are listing Michigan (19-10 straight up, 13-11 against the spread) as a four-point favorite with a total of 147. Bettors can back the Irish to win outright for a plus-170 payoff (risk $100 to win $170).

--Notre Dame (16-13 SU, 16-11 ATS), seeded fifth in the NIT's new 40-team format, advanced to the second round by virtue of a 79-69 win over Vanderbilt. The Irish covered the spread as five-point favorites, while the 148 combined points went 'over' the 142-point tally. Torin Francis paced the winners with 23 points and 11 rebounds, while Chris Quinn added 15 points and nine assists. Colin Falls also chipped in with 15 points, draining 4-of-8 shots from 3-point land.

--Top-seeded Michigan dealt out an 82-67 shellacking to UTEP in the first round, pulling away from the Miners with a 12-0 run midway through the second half. The Wolverines snapped a three-game losing streak with the victory, cashing tickets as eight-point home favorites. Chris Hunter led the way with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Dion Harris finished with 18 points and five assists. Daniel Horton was also in double figures with 14 points and nine assists.

--Notre Dame owns a 9-2 spread record as an underdog this season.

--These schools met last year with Michigan capturing a 71-67 win at Notre Dame on Dec. 3. The Wolverines covered the spread as 2 1/2-point underdogs. Tommy Amaker's team also beat the Irish the previous season, but Michigan failed to cover the number in a 61-60 win as a 2 1/2-point home 'chalk.'

--Michigan is 3-7 ATS in its last 10 games against Big East foes.

--The 'over' is 17-9 for Notre Dame.

--The 'under' is 13-12 for the Wolverines.
