**Hofstra vs. UNC-Wilmington**
Colonial Tournament finals in Richmond, VA.

--Most spots are listing UNC-Wilmington (24-7 straight up, 19-9 against the spread) as a three-point favorite with a total of 126. Hofstra (24-5 SU, 16-9 ATS) is plus 150 on the money line.

--These teams are two of the best spread teams in the country this season. Hofstra has won six in a row, posting a 5-1 spread record in the process. UNC-Wilmington has won seven consecutive games, compiling a 5-2 ATS mark.

--The Seahawks cruised through the first two rounds of the league tourney with double-digit triumphs over Delaware and Northeastern.

--Hofstra took out top-seeded George Mason 58-49 last night as a four-point underdog.

--UNC-Wilmington owns a 5-2 record both SU and ATS in its last seven games against Hofstra. They split a pair of meetings this season with the home team winning and taking the cash each time. Hofstra needed OT to win 92-87 at home as a two-point favorite.

--The 'over' is 16-9 for the Pride, but the 'under' is 16-12 for the Seahawks.

--The 'over' has cashed in each of the last four games between these Colonial Conference rivals.

--ESPN will provide television coverage at 7:00 p.m. Eastern.

**Loyola-Marymount at Gonzaga**
WCC Finals in Spokane, WA.

--Loyola Marymount (12-17 SU, 13-14 ATS) will be making a surprise appearance in the WCC finals after beating St. Mary's 66-63 last night as a 4 1/2-point underdog. The victory for the Lions snapped a four-game losing streak both SU and ATS.

--Gonzaga (26-3 SU, 12-17 ATS) had to go to overtime last night before polishing off San Diego, 96-92. The Bulldogs failed to cover the number as 13-point favorite. They are in a 4-9 ATS slump in their last 13 games.

--Gonzaga is 4-12 ATS as a double-digit 'chalk.' On the other hand, LMU is 2-1 ATS as a double-digit underdog.

--As of 1:30 p.m. this afternoon, most sports books are listing Gonzaga as a 12-point favorite with a total of 150. For gamblers thinking upset, the Lions can be had on the money line for a super-attractive plus-700 (risk $100 to win $700) payoff.

--The Lions will be trying to make the Big Dance for the first time since 1990, when they captured the hearts and minds of America with their magical run to the Elite Eight following the tragic death of senior power forward Hank Gathers. With Bo Kimble draining left-handed free throws in honor of Gathers, Paul Westhead's team drilled New Mexico State before trouncing the defending national champion, Michigan, en route to the Sweet 16.

Jeff Fryer knocked down 11 shots from 3-point range in the blowout win over the Wolverines. Meanwhile, LMU's Per Stumer and Chris Knight contained Michigan's Terry Mills and Loy Vaught, while LMU's Tony Walker and Terrell Lowrey took Rumeal Robinson to school. And, lest we forget, the Lions won every fight for a loose ball thanks to the hustle plays from Tom "The Human Bruise" Peabody.

LMU made the Elite Eight despite getting slowed down by a brilliant game plan from Alabama's Wimp Sanderson in the Sweet 16. The run-and-gun tempo was back against UNLV, but the Rebels had too much firepower for the Lions, who couldn't match the muscle of UNLV's inside bruisers, Larry Johnson and Moses Scurry.

--Mark Few's squad is unbeaten in 14 home games, but the 'Zags are horrible for our purposes. They are just 3-11 ATS at home.

--Gonzaga has won nine of the last 10 games against LMU, but the Lions are 7-3 ATS during that span.

--Gonzaga swept the season series, winning 92-80 at home before collecting a 79-70 win at LMU. The 'Zags covered as 5 1/2-point favorites at LMU, but lost the cash as 17 1/2-point home favorites.

--Gonzaga center J.P. Batista (19.5 points and 9.4 rebounds per game) suffered a mild knee sprain last night that could slow him tonight somewhat. He did continue to play and finished with 21 points and 13 rebounds, so I'm not sure that this should be of too much concern for gamblers. Nevertheless, Batista is listed as "questionable."

--The 'over' is 8-6 for Gonzaga at home. Remember, this game is being played in the Bulldogs' home arena.

--The 'under' is on a 4-1 run in the last five head-to-head games these teams have played with a total.

--Tip-off is slated for 9:00 p.m. Eastern on ESPN.
