    Wednesday's college hoops Tip Sheet

    **Duke at Georgia Tech**

    –Las Vegas Sports Consultants installed Duke as a 10-point road ‘chalk’ over Georgia Tech, with the total set at 155. ESPN will provide coverage of this ACC affair beginning at 7:00 p.m. ET.

    –Duke (25-1 straight up, 12-9 against the spread) continued its winning ways by throttling Miami (Fla.) Sunday as a 16 1/2-point home favorite, 92-71. That marked the third game in a row that the Blue Devils covered.

    –Duke poured in 59 points in the first half, and finished the game by connecting at a 49-percent clip (25-of-51). J.J. Redick stepped up with 30 points on 10-of-15 shooting, while Shelden Williams added 17 and 15 rebounds.

    –The Blue Devils sport an 11-1 SU and 6-5 ATS road record, dumping opponents by an average score of 85-74.

    –Duke is 5-1 both SU and ATS the previous six encounters with the Yellow Jackets, but this is the first meeting this season between the schools.

    –Georgia Tech (10-14 SU, 11-9 ATS) dropped to 1-4 SU its last five games after dropping Saturday’s overtime affair with Maryland as an eight-point road underdog, 87-84. That marked the fourth consecutive contest that the Yellow Jackets covered.

    –Georgia Tech was outrebounded for the contest, 40-35, and allowed the Terrapins to connect at a 56-percent clip (29-of-52). Ra’Sean Dickey led all scorers with 23 points and six rebounds, while Zam Fredrick added 17 and four assists off the bench.

    –The Yellow Jackets are 9-4 SU and 4-6 ATS on their home court, winning by an average score of 71-66.

    **Tennessee at Florida**

    –LVSC opened Florida as an 8 1/2-point home favorite over Tennessee, with the total listed at 155. This SEC contest is scheduled to tipoff at 7:30 p.m. ET.

    –Tennessee (19-4 SU, 14-5 ATS) had its eight-game SU and ATS winning streak snapped with Saturday’s loss to Alabama as a one-point road ‘chalk,’ 92-79.

    –The Vols surrendered 57 points in the first half, and allowed the Crimson Tide to shoot 54 percent (29-of-54) for the game. Chris Lofton netted 22 points on 7-of-15 shooting in the setback, while Andre Patterson contributed 15 and seven rebounds.

    –Tennessee is a modest 5-4 SU and 6-3 ATS on the road, slipping past opponents by an average score of 80-79.

    –The Vols are 3-1 both SU and ATS the past three performances versus the Gators after winning Jan. 21 as a 1 1/2-point road underdog, 80-76.

    –Florida (22-4 SU, 12-7 ATS) had its modest two-game SU and ATS winning streak snapped compliments of Saturday’s overtime setback to Arkansas as a 1 1/2-point road underdog, 85-81.

    –The Gators had four players reach double digits in scoring, led by Taurean Green’s 20 points and four assists.

    –Florida lays claim to a 15-1 SU and 5-4 ATS home ledger, pummeling opponents by an average score of 84-59.

    **Utah at UNLV**

    –LVSC has UNLV as a seven-point home ‘chalk’ over Utah, with the total set at 129. This Mountain West matchup is slated to start at 10:30 p.m. ET.

    –Utah (12-12 SU, 7-12 ATS) is mired in a two-game SU losing funk after dropping Saturday’s matchup with Air Force as a one-point home underdog, 52-51.

    –The Utes were unable to overcome their 19-point first half, while finishing the contest by shooting 44 percent (18-of-41). Luke Nevill was the only Utah player to reach double digits in scoring with 21 points to go along with his eight rebounds.

    –The Utes have struggled on the road this season, going just 3-7 both SU and ATS. Utah has been dropping those affairs by an average score of 72-63.

    –The Utes had won five games in a row SU versus UNLV before dropping a Jan. 21 contest as a one-point home underdog, 71-59. That marked the third game in a row that the Utes failed to cover in this series.

    –UNLV (14-10 SU, 16-7 ATS) rebounded from its two-game SU losing funk by beating Colorado State Saturday as a 2 1/2-point road underdog, 80-72. The Rebels improved to 4-1 ATS their last five games with that contest.

    –UNLV finished the game by shooting 50 percent (28-of-56) from the field, as Louis Amundson (22) and Jo’Van Adams (21) led the way.

    –The Rebels maintain a 10-4 SU and 9-4 ATS home record, beating foes by an average score of 72-65.
