I'm looking at UCSB (one of the best of the midmajors), pk, at Cal Irvine (mediocre).

I'm looking at Cal State Fullerton (pretty stout) -13 at home against terrible Cal Poly SLO. I don't know if I feel like laying 13 today though.

Washington State as a dog at USC looks hard to pass up. USC has looked underwhelming to me.

Cal +6 at Oregon crossed my mind. I think Oregon is going to continue to be up and down. Ozz is right about DeVon Hardin. I saw him play. He's NBA material. He might control the front court in this game.

How about Stanford -9 at Oregon State? Trent Johnson is bringing Stanford around. Oregon State blows.

I don't like taking louisville against zone d teams since they only have 1 guy that can shoot. I'm leaning towards wvu also

The thing about Louisville is that they recently got back two key players who were missing for much of the early season (David Padgett and Juan Palacios). Louisville just might now become a more serious force. I personally am just going to keep my eye on them until I see how they look with those two back in game shape.

UCSB sticks out to me. They've slid a tad in their last 4 games or so, but have the talent to beat Irvine by double digits if they show up. At a pick 'em, I likes.

I'm jumping on Tenn Martin tonite....here's a write up

Game: Tennessee Martin at E. Illinois (8:15 PM Eastern)
Pick: Tennessee Martin even

The Skyhawks are a team that can certainly put some points up, especially with Lester Hudson on the floor. Hudson is averaging 26.7 points per game on the season, good for second in the NCAA. Hudson isn't just a scorer as he also pulls down 7.5 boards, has 64 assists and has collected 58 steals. He is by far the best player on the floor in this contest. He has a supporting cast in Robinson (13.5 ppg) and Weddle (15.8 ppg) so life will be difficult for the Panthers who net just 62.4 ppg, on a shooting percentage of 42%. Not only has the Panthers’ offense been awful, but last game they turned the ball over 22 times, and it is little wonder why they enter here at 2-13. The Panthers are also allowing over 40% from beyond the arc and just don't have the defensive skills to play three legit scorers. They also lack the firepower on the offensive end.

No doubt - there is always a reason for hesitation hence why we all do our research.

I like the way Washington State has been coached by Bennett for the past couple of years. Unfortunately for W State he will be poached by a bigger program in the next few years. This is not a team that I see on the level of a UNC or Memphis though but for tonight that doesn't matter. They will hit the Sweet 16 this year.

This is a team that nearly made the sweet 16 last year after losing to a tough Vanderbilt squad in 2OT and have returned all but one player.

OJ Mayo is great but he isn't a team. This isn't a gimme game but getting points on State in this situation looks pretty from my angle.

I live in Seattle and saw the WSU vs ** game. WSU played HORRIBLY and still covered. That is a huge rivalry in which they played poorly and won, on the road, in conference. GOtta love that.
