The Minnesota Golden Gophers are coming into what should be their best defensive performance of the season and they are more then ready for it. The Gophers have been playing amazing on the defensive side of the ball. So far this season teams have averaged 56.3 points against this unit and only Florida State has been the only team to eclipse the 60 point mark. Minnesota is ranked 18th for overall defense and are matching up with the Colorado State offense that is ranked 297th! Colorado State is averaging 61 points per game only scoring more then 60 twice this season. They are coming off a 44-40 win over Denver and rely heavily on their guard Marcus Walker who has averaged 16 points per game which is 26% of the Rams total offense this season. The Gophers are going to continue their dominance on the defensive side of the ball and get a big win over Colorado State which will put them close to the top 25 for the first time.
