Two small plays. Treading light.
0.5* South Florida -2 +102
SF center Kentrell Gransberry didn't play in their last game and it ****ed them up they are better than what they showed in that one. Buffalo barely beat Ohio Valley of all teams and got killed by UCONN. I think the Bulls will do it.
0.5* Washington State -9 +102
Boise St struggled at home versus Utah Valley State, it's going to be a long season. WSU is the most fundamentally sound team in the nation and they have an awesome defense. What would the line be if it were UCLA playing Boise State? I had this line at -15 UCLA would be -16
I think giving less than DD's is cool. WSU is damn good and if they avoid coming flat this will be a winner.
I'm loving all this low or no juice from matchbook.
I like that Washington State play. I agree that Boise State is probably in for a rough season. I see them losing big here. Small bet on Washington State, to cover, for me too.
I'm also putting a small bet on Nevada at UC Irvine. Nevada is favored by 2. I'm taking them on the ML (-135). Nevada is coming off a close loss at Central Florida (missed a shot to tie it at the buzzer). I do not see them losing two straight to open this season. They are a good team on the road. I am still convinced that when Nevada gets traction this season, they will go through a period where they surpass expectations (which are low because of the loss of Nick Fazekas and Ramon Sessions to the NBA). Nevada still has a returning stud (Marcelus Kemp), and four relatively-unheard-of players (Armon Johnson, Demarshay Johnson, Brandon Fields, and Javale McGee) who can have a big impact. UC Irvine -- albiet coming off a good win against Loyola Marymount -- is probably destined to finish down in the middle of a conference that is weaker than the WAC.
I know what you mean, I think my average bet last year in college hoops was +102 to +103, it really makes a difference at the end of the season...GL today bro...
