Best College hoops players for 2007... Lets start the debate

After looking at the returning starters in college hoops for the 2007/08 season. I came to the conclusion that Tyler Hansbrough has to be hands down is the best this year in college hoops. It wasn't even close a decision either IMO.

The only other player that I even considered to be better than Handsbrough was Roy Hibbert, but he doesn't rebound or block shots all that geat. A distant third I feel is Michael Beasley. The problem with him is that he's just a top notch shooter that will net you about 20ppg, but thats about it.

I would have ranked Josh Heytvelt better than Beasley, but the reason I didn't though. Was that he missed a lot of action last year, and the rust might be come into play early in the season. Not to mention the Zags talent level this year seems to be very depleted IMO.

Ok guys... Who do you think will be "the man" this year in college hoops?

DJ Augustin is the first guy that came to mind. The kid is an absolute star.

    Others, in no particular order:

    Chase Budinger
    Chris Lofton
    Chris Douglas-Roberts
    Tyrese Rice
    Taj Gibson
    Scottie Reynolds

I think Kevin Love will be the real deal. Also love Eric Maynor at VCU. Look out for Bill Walker at KSU this year. Kid was on the verge of becoming a star before blowing out his knee. Him and Beasley could be great together.

It's Chris Lofton. That team is ready to make the Final Four, and he's the man that's going to take them there.

No doubt that Chris Lofton is as Dick Vitale says a "PTP'er". They do have 4 starters returning this year, but Duke Crews was suspended for getting busted with drugs. By any chance do you know when Bruce Pearl might reinstate him if at all Razz. If so when ?

I think that was due to lack of experience IMO.

I'm bias, but T-Will(Terrence Williams) and Edgar Sosa for UofL are great, i think this is T-Wills year.
a frosh to watch out for is USC's O.J. Mayo.

I'm not sure where they fit on an overall list, but under-sized guys who kick ass and don't get enough recognition ...

    KU's Sherron Collins (5'11")
    Oregon's Tajaun Porter (5'6")
