IL is going to be big time when it's all done. So far only the dive casinos are opening, as of next month March but just give it time.

IL has allowed books to open in every major sports stadium and racetrack in the state. I'm a midwest guy and this is going to be unbelievable. I can't wait to go to Wrigley and bet on Cubs v. Cards games. Unreal man this is like a dream come true.

IL will benefit big time from having Missouri and Wisconsin bordering. All kinds of sports junkies and gambling addicts in St. Louis and Milwaukee. IL recently legalized weed too and the response has been massive. Places are sold out. I'm predicting a massive response to legalized sports action in IL also. The crooked politicians in Chicago are loving this. All kinds of money for them to embezzle. Wow. Chicago first big time city in America with sports action. Unreal!!!$$$

Can bet at the ballpark itself? Wow. There is going to be so much more money in the market once every state gets this going. Lol. You'll see many many many new degenerate gamblers made in this country. Lots of foreclosed homes on the horizon. I better get myself into real estate ASAP.

I, for one, am not about to drive 40 miles round trip, park, walk, to a casino just to lay a bet and repeat the process to collect.

Grand Victoria Elgin is very nice and also has a juicy poker room though rake is high. Interesting to see where they locate it maybe in the Burger Bar Restaurant. There was an OTB for horses about 5 miles away too but that closed years back.

I get whay you're saying and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way but when in Rome, right?! I for one will definitely place a bet @ Wrigley next time I go to a Cubs v. Cards game. Same thing for a bulls or Hawks game. C'mon man you'll be able to bet on the game literally at the game and collect as soon as the game is over. I know a lot of people don't care about getting paid quickly but if the option is there and you're already at the game anyway, might as well take advantage of it! Even the quickest online btc books take hours minimum to cashout. No comparison. Some still take days or a week on btc, lol.

Not to sound like JJ but I guarantee the juice will be way worse in the stadium compared to a regular casino/offshore. Just like beer prices, they'll know they got you if you wanna bet on the game (at least for the rec bettor).

Nobody wins offshore. If you actually win enough the book stiffs you and says you have multiple accts. or bet bad lines or whatever else bs they can think of to not pay. I know many people that have been stiffed by books like betonline, bodog, betdsi, 5d, interaction et. al.

At least at USA casinos and books you actually get your money when you win. Even if you lose, at least the money goes to education in the state and not some latin drug cartel.

Who cares what line you get, everyone that bets long enough loses in the long run anyway. Difference between Cubs -111 online and -115 in person is irrelevant. William Hill books always have same or better odds as the A+ books on this site anyway and they have shops everywhere. Last time I was in Vegas I bet a game at Hill book got -113 odds. Offshore was -115, -118, -125 same game. So I got the best price and my cash in hand 2 minutes after game ended!!!$$$$$

Argosy in Alton is really close to opening too. It's a dive casino, an actual riverboat lol, but they just built the sportsbook. Has a bunch of new tvs and a bar in it. It's part of the St. Louis suburbs so both Chicago and St. Louis will be running next week it looks like. No official date for Argosy but their Twitter said they'll be up by March Madness tipoff. I read that Hollywood just got their sportsbook licensing from the state, so they'll probably be open soon too.
