Whats up yall? My name is DK (dudekid) and most of yall probably dont know me. Fun fact, Ive been around on this board for almost a decade (Dec. 2009). Long time lurker, infrequent poster.

Always loved this forum, great to see some of the regulars still kicking it after all these years. JJ still gold, Sammy, Brock, LB, the big guns so to speak. I still find myself using PT lingo in my daily life (names ending in Y, buried, hammer, square, sharp, chalk, dog, broke dikk fukk, etc)

I recently started capping again, I always wanted to do a thread like this, hoping this can get me back in the game. It sounds like some wacky shit went down here recently, not sure what any of that is about and I got no skin in that game, but Im just here to make some picks and up my bankroll. Going to stash up some points and get my pro status back as well. Feel free to tail or fade. I mostly focus on NFL, MLB, and NCAABB. I will use the SBR Book for lines for transparencys sake.

2 out of 3 aint bad, as they say. Bummed about Texas. Young squad so they will be inconsistent no doubt, that free throw % is brutal. Keeping that in my notes for tournament time.


MSU and Marquette especially were pretty easy. MSU is just in a whole different class than Oakland, though they hung tough for a few. Buffalo is a decent team but werent going to come into Marquettes house and leave undefeated.

I like Niagara in this spot. I know it sounds wacky betting on a game like this, but a few things caught my eye here.


Both of these teams have 5 wins in lesser known conferences. That said, I think Army is worse than a 5 win team, while Niagara is better.


Niagara has a couple nice wins. They shocked PITT in Pittsburgh. They beat Cornell at home. Army, on the other hand, just lost to Fairleigh Dickinson, who just blew a 14 point lead yesterday and lost in a thriller to my alma mater UMass Amherst, who are alright but certainly not great. Theyve also lost to UMass Lowell....must be a UMass thing.


Two things jump out at me here. First, Niagara is top 25 in the nation in FT% (76.1%) which makes a huge difference in college hoops. Army is 268th at 67%. Niagara also has Marvin Prochet, their star F, who is a name to watch for MAAC player of the year this year. He was hurt and missed a few games early on which is why Niagaras record isnt as good.


Wouldve liked to get +4 here but Im still rolling with 3.5 per the sbr book. I wouldve done a small ML play too but the sbr book doesnt allow it. Either way look for Niagara to beat Army and hand them their first home loss while everyone over there is focused on the Bowl game today.

Look, Im not going to pretend that UCLA is a better team than Ohio St, snd they probably wont end up winning or even covering the full total. I want UCLA in the first half, though. I think they are coming back home, theyll be excited and fired up to face this 15th ranked team on their own turf, and theyll be ready to start hot. Ohio St. is on a nice run here, but theyre starting a road trip against sub par teams, I think they come out a bit flat here to start. UCLA first half line only, at least well have the result fast. Lets go!

Alright! We'll take it. Really liked Niagara there, its a shame ML wasnt offered, that one was an easy call. I think we had the right process on the UCLA 1H, just didnt quite get the W. As my uncle always told me, "a push is better than a stick in the eye." It did sting to watch UCLA miss a layup at the buzzer that wouldve cashed though. So it goes.

I dont typically like square plays, and this is a pretty public fav. That said, too many factors to ignore here. Balt hasnt traveled west of KC all year. Extra 3 days for LAC off a TNF game. And its not like LAC doesnt have motivation, they need to win or else they end up a wild card behind KC. Bosa is a beast up front, and Chargers do a nice job containing the run. If LAC scores early, I cant see Lamar being able to throw and keep up. I think Rivers and Co. are too much for Lamar to overcome.

I know it seems like a lot laying wood like this on a relatively unknown team from the Big Sky conference. That said, lets break this down a little:


SIUE are honestly terrible. FG%, FT%, you name it. This is the 4th and final leg of games away from home where they are 0-3 so far on the trip. They are 2-8 and seemingly playing out the string before Xmas break.



Northern Colorado comes into this on a bad string of their own losing 3 straight on the road. This may lead people to feel like the 13 points are too high, but this team can score the ball! They are top 25 in the nation in FT% (76.3) and top 15 in the nation in 3pt% (40.2). They have the best point differential in the Big Sky at +12.1.


I think NCO comes home, fired up to break a bad streak, and blows the doors off this one.

Adding 1 play, not my best day but we were bound to have one of these. I think this line is a mirage. KC wins this one outright, miss me with all that "12th man" noise. Mahomes has shown he is above all that in nearly every game this year. Going 2 units on this one.

I know it can be risky betting on such a bad team like Oakland. That said, this one just really feels like a home win to me.

Denver is officially knocked out of contention, and have nothing to play for. Their coach is rumored to be fired soon. They now go on the road to hostile division rival Oakland on Xmas eve. I can definitely see Denver coming out flat here. Oakland has been atrocious on the road, but at least decent at home. They hung with KC, and hace been at least competitive in their home games. Denver just kind of sucks anywhere, lol.

Neither of these teams have been going over as of late which may scare off potential backers. I personally think this is going to fly over. Neither team plays exceptional defense (putting it lightly) and both can put up points in a hurry. Harden will be motivated. D'Antoni teams are legendary for high pace, high scoring, low defense. Look for a 250 point total here.

Hey pal, nah that definitely wasnt me. Lifelong Boston guy here, never been a Heels fan. You can check out my post history, and Im sure a mod could confirm Ive never been banned before, just taken breaks from the forum. I definitely had some trouble with gambling in my past but that was more a personal matter, I never owed anyone on here or anything. I always pay my debts.

Alright, time to get to the nitty gritty. Not a good day yesterday, flat out. I shouldve honestly passed, Xmas day had me busy and I shouldve waited till I had more time to cap. Thats on me. The push on the NBA total was a dagger, so many missed shots at the end. I liked that one a lot, too.
