    W Illinois +19

Creighton will be an interesting team this year. Foster and Thomas are gone and will look to Mintz to lead this years offense. Krampelj will be dangerous from the outside and Ballock should contribute. Western Illinois returns 4 starters including 7-0 Gilbeck, summit defensive player of the year. Webster is a skilled guard that can score. Creighton should win this game but will need to figure some things out in order to compete in the big east this year. Im confident the leathernecks cover the spread. Creighton by 14.

Will definitely be following you. I am a Seton Hall grad/fan, and I think I have a good pulse on Big East teams, way more so than the nat'l landscape.

I like your predicted order of finish is close to how I'd have it but I think PC finishes third. I really think some of their frosh from last year take a big step up, and as you mentioned Diallo is a stud.

Hoping SHU can finish 6th, that would be a good goal with all the departing minutes.

St John's is a pretty fascinating study for this year. Personally i think they're being overhyped. They do have alot of talent but not much depth and an empty suit on the bench.

Welcome cl smooth. Glad to hear from another big east lover. I do agree with you that providence could finish third and masterful Ed could get them there. I think providence, butler and St. John will be fun teams to watch. Good luck to you and your pirates this year.

    Pick #2

    Providence -4.5

Jump on this one early!! Ed Cooley is a great coach. Providence did lose Bullock, Cartwright and Lidsey but they still have a competitive team. Diallo is a stud and a playmaker, Reeves looked outstanding from distance in the opener going 7-9. They only beat siena by 10 and did look look questionable on defense at times. On the other hand, wichita state looked horrible in their opener. After losing 89% of their scoring and all five starters they look to Mcduffie to lead the way. I see wichita state taking alot of bumps as they try to find the right combination to be somewhat competitive in conference play. Friars by 12!

I like this, seems like a no-brainer to me. And yeah it’s PC-4.5. Neutral site game. McDuffie is good but probably the only decent talent on the shockers right now and simply too much weight on his shoulders until someone else can step up. Alpha Diallo is a baller and enough pieces in support cast like Reeves & Jackson who are fire from 3 or Watson who’s a mismatch vs. Wichita St. PC was beating Siena by 15-20 majority of that game too until they let up and it got ‘close’ still won by 10.

    Pick #3

    Xavier -18

Xavier lost their top three scorers but still have some talent and added graduate transfers. Welage, who came from sjs, looked good in the opener. Evansville is just not a good team. Illinois destroyed them and I see the x-man doing the same. Xavier by 25

    Creighton -12.5

Creighton did not cover vs w Illinois in their opener and only won by 11. E tenn has an entire new starting 5 from last year. I see Creighton winning this one by 15!

    Butler -26

Yes, I have not won a game when I’m laying the points but I really like butler this year and think they have a great chance to finish in the top 3 in the big east. Baldwin is really good and Thompson will find the open man. Wait till big east play and Jordan tucker is available! Butler beat an average mid American team by over 20 and now play likely the worst team in the horizon. Butler by 33

I see the Illinois guards leading them to victory. Jordan and freshman Dosunmu should give the Hoyas problems. Govan will get his stats but it will not be enough to win or cover

Laying To much chalk. A lot of the early lines are inflated. Big teams and big spreads are not covering even in first half’s. Good luck the rest of the way.

    Marquette +5.5

I really like Marquette’s team this year. Last year they could only shoot the three. This year they still can do that but their inside game is looking good. Theo John looks like a beast and morrow and Joey Hauser will contribute. Could be the Langford/Morgan vs Howard/Hauser show. Marquette by 3!

    Ohio st -1.5

Ohio st looked good vs cincy. They are 2-0 vs the spread and Creighton is 0-2. Big ten has dominated the big east so far and I see that continued in this game. I see Jackson having a big game. Ohio st by 7

    Penn st -1.5

Strus is a really good player and I think he will help keep the demons in a lot of games. I just think penn st has better talent, Stevens and Reeves should be able to handle depaul. Bolton has been huge for them off the bench. Penn st by 6!

    St. Louis +6

St. Louis returns a lot of talent and should make a run at the A10 championship. Goodwin and Bess lead their charge vs an inexperienced seton hall team that had a horrible second half vs Nebraska. I see St. Louis keeping this one close. St. Louis by 2!

    Pick #13

    Providence -1.5

Silva will get his numbers and Lawson is avg 16ppg but I think Diallo and Reeves are going to have a big game here. Providence has been shooting the ball better than South Carolina. Both teams are 0-3 vs the spread. I see providence taking this one by 8!
