I really think TCU is the best team, but I'm not willing to give up 4 points.

i see and hear alot about gt tickets, yet the line keeps moving in their favor .... gt is limited offensively and their press can give up easy buckets on break... throw in dixons hard on for killing it in ny and im taking tcu laying the points.... gl gents

I am going to pass on this one,I do like GT...they are better and playing @ MSG, they will have a lot of support. Long time GT ex-coach Cremins had a long and loyal following in the NYC area, going to All Hollows HS in the Bronx. He is still respected up hear and by default a following from many. I should have worded this better......short on time..............It will be a home game for The Rambling Wreck !!

Laying the point....i think TCU offensively will get the job done. GT disappears on offense Lammers will get punished down in the paint ...too fragile BOL fellas

Cremins following in NYC is ancient history unfortunately.....and even when he was still coaching, it wasn't enough to impact a game. He is respected, but younger generation fans never turned out for an older coach, much less one that hasn't coached at GT in almost 20 years.

...Well I guess I will make time:Cremins coached for 19 years @GT,recruiting many good players out of NY, top talent who were expected to stay " home". He inherited a bad team that went just 4-23 in his 1st season!! Four years later he shocked the ACC, BY Winning a share of the regular season title !!......I not going any further.......I call that IMPACTING THE GAME !!............Hey kid, when you know a little more come back and we can have a better discussion about sports and speculation of games! ! !....................................... .............BOL

not knocking Cremins....just saying that not gonna get a large turnout at MSG tonight because GT's former coach who hasn't coached at GT since 2000 (?) or so was from NYC. Also, I'd venture to say that I'm probably older than you (but thanks)
Cremins definitely had an impact on recruiting in NYC. When I speak of 'impacting the game', that is in reference to the fans at said game having an impact on that night's game. Overall, Bobby had a huge impact on the game of basketball; there is no denying that.
Just saying, GT is not getting a home court advantage tonight because droves of fans who heard there dad and granpa talk about Cremins a time or two decide to turn out for the game because he used to coach GT.

Kenny Andersen, Stephon Marbury and I am sure I am forgetting a few. The good old days when our Terps were in the ACC. Can't get used to the Big 10.

Cremins definitely had major pull in getting Kenny A. to sign with GT instead of UNC. Anderson had huge ties to Kenny Smith's family and Smith obviously played in Chapel Hill for four years.

Point is that Cremins is 70 years old. His true hard core following is of the ages of say 60-80 years old. He hasn't been affiliated with GT in many years. Most at the game from NYC won't even know who he is unfortunately.

Much respect to Cremins....beat my Heels on more than one occasion.

Just sayin, this generation not as nostalgic as we might be.

I don't see Tech improving in the 2nd half. During ACC play on the road they usually get down and stay down.

TCU will be a tournament team next year. I always thought Dixon was a pretty good coach, just not a great coach. But he has TCU turned around pretty quickly.
