I forgot about Jordan Clarkson. Is he legit? I don't ever watch Lakers games so I haven't seen him play much. Same can be said about most teams in the west other than Spurs and Warriors.

Yeah I guess he's [Derozan] an unnecessary piece to that puzzle. Taking a look at their roster it's tough to say where they need help. Weakest position probably SF so Ingram a logical choice. Also with Kobe gone that frees up 20-25 field goal attempts a game that someone has to take. Durant would be the opportune fit but doubt that happens as he wants to win yesterday, not 3 years from now.

I think you are right about Durant being the guy that initiates the signing flurry.

Other than Golden State, where I don't think he's truly a good fit, he probably has the best chance of winning a ship in OKC.

Washington was, I thought, a serious contender but he has to be rethinking his desire to play there with the season they are having. Wall, Beal, Durant would be one of the strongest 1,2,3 punches in the game. Problem is the team has almost nothing going for it outside beal and wall. Think they lost their draft pick too in that dumb Markieff Morris trade with the Suns. Organization is a few talented guys being run by a dreadful front office.

Clarkson is a mystery to me. Sometimes he looks like an All-Star, and other times not so much. I can't tell if he puts up good stats because there's no one else on the team, or if playing with better teammates would be beneficial to him.

Bradley Beal would be an upgrade most likely, but that guy seems so brittle.

Lakers have a decent nucleus, it's not great or anything. Russell and Randall have some potential, and I like this kid Larry Nance Jr. Other than that they've got some bad contracts: Lou Williams, Nick Young. I can't imagine Roy Hibbert coming back.

In the past they've always been able to turn things around quickly. It'll be interesting to see if they have any magic left. I think the mystique of Los Angeles might be gone, that was apparent when Greg Monroe chose Milwaukee over the Lakers.

Kobe's departure has to help. He's a legend but the team needs new identity.

Kobe and Byron need to go. Bring in a new coach and maybe a decent FA and draft pick. May be able to turn things around. West very top heavy so plenty of opportunity for team to make a move and become a playoff regular

Byron Scott is the worst. He needs to go. I'm not sure who they bring in...Luke Walton? Tom Thibodeau? Maybe a young college coach? Who knows.

    Mo, good talk.

    Maybe Scott brooks?

He's available and capable of coaching a high octane offence.

MO, what do you think of Buddy's chances to win the title.

They are currently favourite to win the West Regional.

I'd take IU, Gonzaga, and the last four. Can't trust anyone near the top.

Their path to the final four is easier than many just about anyone. A&M shouldn't even be in the tourney still and Oregon / Duke not unbeatable by any means if Oklahoma can show up. They were the top team in the country for a while and are capable of playing at that level on any given night.

As far as winning it all, you never know. UNC, Kansas and the Virgins have looked excellent so far, albeit having had the easiest roads to the S16. Final four usually unpredictable so you never know. Would certainly be a great and fitting end to a great college career for Buddy.

Then again, would also be a fitting career end for 27 year old and 9th year senior, Perry Ellis.

+800 seems like appropriate value. Any higher and it's a must play. Actually it's pretty good for where I put their chances. UVA @ +550 seems like good value but they struggled at times against Butler who is not elite (but is very good in the grand scheme of Colladge hoops.)

Deemer many of us thought you were a gonner pal. Good to hear you are with us.

I think we've rung the bell twice in the last week for guys who were still alive.

Deem, Buddy has skills and could be dangerous in an offense with good ball movement. He will need to accept his role as more of a spot up and active offball type player.

If we have learned anything over the last 10 years it's that it is very tough to tell who's game will translate to the NBA level. Tough to predict how well a player will develop / their ability to develop new skills and perfect existing ones.

Hield is a winner, with a great attitude, fantastic motor, and is clutch. All things you can't really teach.

As for the things you can teach, he's managed to raise his 3P% by ~15 since last year while taking MORE of them. Seems like a guy ANYONE should want on their team.

On behalf of the Wizards, we'll trade your top 3 lottery bound team Bradley Beal for your pick and something between filler and quality.

    Not gonna go top three.

Though why the Wizards traded away their draft pick is beyond me.

They should be tanking hard because not gonna go anywhere this year and draft pick is top9 protected.

Sometimes shooters that do little else don't make it in the NBA. Hield could be the next Jimmer Fredette.

He appears to be more than a spot shooter. Buddy is much more versatile.

I never saw Jimmer cram like this kid. And I still think Jimmer was the most exciting college player of my time.

Kris Dunn is a Junior.. could've been top 5 pick last year. He will be top 5 this year. 6'4" 205 lbs. dynamic scoring PG. 6'9" wingspan... has great defensive potential along with incredible shiftiness and explosive speed. He's gonna be a stud.

Just imagine if Tyler Ulis was 6'4" 205.... he only weighs like 160 lbs and is a first rounder.

Hield is a lot more athletic than Jimmer.

This coming from a person that has seen both play in person.
