First Round Upset Specials
Let's talk about who and why? Watching the selection show was like watching a 5th grader fill out the bracket. Nobody had balls to pick any lower seeds. All played the numbers game so who do you like? Yale? Hawaii? Iona? NC Wilmington? Wiscy Green Bay? Chatanooga? I think all these have a chance to advance
Hawaii will beat cal
I really like South Dakota State to beat Maryland. MD has a ton of talent but just can't show up on the road, now they gotta go out west to play a talented SDSU team with a good big guy Daum and he can hit FTs too.
I think UNI can and will win a game or maybe even two. Wes Washpun is excellent and this team can beat big time teams.
I like Syracuse, VCU & Temple to win as 10 seeds.
I see mostly all chalk on Thursday but I'm sure there'll be upsets and buzzer beaters.
i got Maryland beating Kansas Dom.....I just thing Big 10 too battle tested at the top outside Michigan State and Maryland. I think Indiana are pop tarts.....I think Dayton wins vs Cuse....Not sure about Northern Iowa.....I really think Wiscy Green Bay can hang with A&M. Big 10 over Big 12? Not sure I quite agree with that..
Big 12 is legit never said they weren't just thing there are three teams then mediocre after that . KU WVU and Oklahoma.....after that I think it's a big drop off. Look at some of the loses these teams have outside those three.....Iowa State and Iowa are a joke along with Baylor
Can even add Texas to that list also
I mean its hard to compare conferences really anyways. IMO I just think the Big 12 overall was better then the Big 10 this year. I could say without pause the top 3 in the big 12 are better then the top 3 in the big 10.
I would agree with that also. Think the top Big 10 teams are tougher at the top though in Maryland and Michigan State is all can even put Wiscy there with them. Indiana is soft. Toughness matters this time of year.
Im very hesistant on Wiscy. For Hayes and Koenig to go cold in the Big 10 tourney has me concerned to pick them at all.
Beat some damn good teams on the road this year in tough places to play. They will beat Pitt

Wisconsin arguably one of the most battle tested teams in the tourney. Beat many good Big Ten teams this year and the new head coach has them rolling.
As for upsets I like Temple, N Iowa, VCU, Gonzaga, and Little Rock.
Give me Chattanooga and Yale.

VCU and Zags are mild faves though...I like VCU to bounce back though, and UNI has experience to pull off the upset...let alone cover.
I have purdue upsetting virginia but losing to michigan state. I have vandy winning against witchita state and then beating arizona but losing to miami. Iowa is a tough one if this was the iowa from december and early january id say iowa no doubt. They have solid wins against Purdue and michigan state. They are just playing like trash the last 5 games. I took temple for the upset but could go either way. I have west virginia upsetting xavier to then lose to unc. I have yale upsetting baylor to then lose to duke. Oregon upset is they win the tournament.
I like UNC Wilmington over Duke and Fresno St over Utah. Maybe SF Austin over West Virginia and Hawaii over Cal.
I think if you take every dog seeded 11-14 you'd come out with a profit

They are a deceptively good team. 9 points on a neutral court is a lot for the Perdue wonder chickens to cover.
I'm guessing 4 upsets at the most between the 16 teams seeded between 11 and 14.
Yeah I guess I only see 4 upsets from 11&12 seeds, don't see any from 13/14/15/16 seeds other than maybe Fresno State.

Stephen F Austin could feasibly beat Vest Wirginia. Probably won't happen but could be the one 14/3 upset.
I don't see it at all. SFA has one player basically, and in order to beat press Virginia you need a multitude of scorers as they throw u in a frenzy and make u put up shots u wouldn't typically.
Agree with UNI... They have a tendency to go cold shooting for awhile but Wes Washpun & co. can beat anyone on a good night. They could win 2 games.
Zags got NBA talent, but I think Seton Hall guards will tear the zags apart. I see Seton Hall winning that game and maybe another.
Green Bay Wisconsin has a ton of experience on that team. They already beat Valpo and Wright State to win the conference tourney. Have size and good shoot outside....Played Wisconsin tough. I think they give A&M all they can handle....That's the only 14 seed I think that has a legit shot. All these people riding Texas A&M and Cal have lost it
Yeah I was talking ATS. I'm guessing you could probably go 10-6, with 4 or so straight up winners

Why do you dislike cal so much? They are bigger and more athletic at every position vs. Hawaii. I like the rainbows but cal plays enough defense they should handle bows
Buffalo +14 they are a good team, they take it to the rim and shoot well from three and play
good defense
