Ok, fill me in. Who's gone? Who's transferred? Who's got the diaper dandy's? Which teams are better? Who has gotten worst?

    Lets talk college hoops.

KRIT - check out the NCAA sub-forum, we got a couple good informative threads going.

    http://www.sportsbookreview.com/foru...arly-look.html

Here I've analyzed a handful of exhibition games.

Another one on sleepers - I really like Florida State this year, think they will be sneaky good and give Virginia/Duke/UNC a run for their money in the ACC.

UNC's best player Marcus Paige just broke his hand and will be out for a month.

Louisville's coach Pitino will likely get fired/resign during the season and potential post-season ban means an already poor shooting team will lose motivation, should be a very down year for them.

If Cheik Diallo gets cleared for eligibility I think Kansas is the deepest & best team in the country.

Kentucky will continue blowing teams out early on but aren't nearly as deep as the past couple years.

Wichita State is still dominant and should run through their conference with 1 or 2 losses at most.

Resurgence of Cal this year with a mix of talented frosh & experienced leaders.

Keep an eye on Shocka Smart to turn around a very talented but under-delivering Texas team.

Gonzaga will continue dominance out west - look to back them early on vs Pitt on opening day of tipoff next Friday.

    Great stuff Dom.

Lets talk Big 10 and Big 12, my two favorite conferences.

Big 10 probably see's a big shakeup right? Wisky obviously takes a huge step back. I'd assume the same for Ohio St and Sparty. Maryland and IU were both young and promising teams last year, I'd assume they will be near the top yes? Who's the up and coming team?

Is KU going to win the Big 12 again? The last couple years they were too young for my liking, but they finally have some veterans as they haven't had a ton of turnover the past year. Perry Ellis and Frank Mason are going to be a handful, and then you add in all the five star recruits i'm sure they have coming in. Can Oklahoma and Iowa State top them? Pretty sure both those teams returned almost everyone.

Disagree with a major Big Ten shakeup. Wisconsin will compete but certainly not like last two years. Should be top half of conf tho, with Koenig leading point and Hayes dominating inside.

MSU will be better than last year. Yes. Valentine already put up a triple double this week (in exhibition, only) and will be the leader on and off the court. McDonalds All American 6'10" Deyonta Davis can play down low and actually make a floater - unlike last year's Dawson. Brynn Forbes is one of the best 3pt shooters in the nation. BIG time transfer Eron Harris put up bucketssss in WestVa and was often the 'star of practice' last year while sitting out for MSU. Bess healthy this season should help too. Finally, the team spent the summer traveling Europe and playing various national teams, got a couple whippings and likely learned and grew a lot.

Ohio State losing Deangelo Russel is like losing their identity but they have a top 10 incoming frosh class. They'll somehow be good.

IU will be one of the best teams in the nation on offense, and they have arguably the best guard combo in Ferrell and Blackmon. Thomas Bryant is just the big man they need down low.

To add on to what dom said...Purdue and Michigan are probably the "up and coming" teams. Purdue has questions at pg but will have Hammons, haas, swanigan down low. Michigan is healthy. Maryland is loaded, losing dez wells but bringing in two stud transfers and five star diamond stone. Msu is the only team that I think can challenge them for the big ten title as of right now.

You're right about Kansas, they will be really good. I don't see isu or Oklahoma ending their run but both schools will be up there

Oklahoma wins B12 this year in my opinion. They look like they'll be pretty tough. Veteran team and Kruger can flat-out coach. He's turned them back into a force to be reckoned with in a matter of years. I like OU.

I really like OU too, sounds like they could be even better this year. Kruger imo is one of the best coaches. I think if OU was ever going to win the conference, last year was the time to do it. This will be KU's best team since the Morris brothers.

    Ditto

Can't see KU losing the conf., but OU & ISU certainly belong in 2nd & 3rd place.

Maryland will certainly be near the top. I believe they will be a Final Four participant next April.

Wow just get the words out of my mouth and...

COLLEGE PARK, Md. (AP) Maryland guard Dion Wiley will miss an estimated four months after undergoing surgery to repair a torn right meniscus.Coach Mark Turgeon delivered the news Tuesday, calling it ''a big loss for our team.''

Turgeon says Wiley was expected to start a shooting guard for the third-ranked Terrapins, who open their season Friday night at home against Mount Saint Mary's.Wiley appeared in all 35 games as a freshman last season for a team that won a school-record 26 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 4.1 points and 1.5 rebounds per game and scored a career-high 19 points and against VMI.

^ Wiley loss hurts but that just means the Duke transfer Sulaimon plays more minutes

Maryland will be fine, they have a ton of players that can chew up minutes, and Turgeon's teams are always solid defensively.

Yea, they led the big 10 def.field goal < 40%......Nickens very good and a 3 pt. sharp shooter.Wiley will be back in time for the run.......this team is goood and deep. Look for GT transfer Carter to amaze some....he avg. 12 pts. and 8 boards,2 years ago! He has lost 35 lbs and turned it to muscle, by far the strongest player on team....even stronger then Dodd who is 6 11 and 250 lbs.Wiley was not going to start anyway,Melo and Sulaiman will start. In fact, before the Suli. announcement,Turgeon went to Wiley and Nickens 1st and told them about it! Glad Turgeon has turned thing around....he was starting to get a little heat.
