Men's college basketball to reduce shot clock to 30 seconds

This is good. Certainly a move in the right direction.

    About time.

They also need to increase player fouls to 6 and allow teams to advance the ball to the frontcourt with a timeout late in games.

I had thought it was inevitable given the use of the 30 second clock in the NIT this year but I was not expecting the change so soon.

these coaches still will not let the players play...instead of milking it down with 35 sec to run some some 1970's plays they got 30.

It needs to go down to 24 seconds. Why is it different than NBA to begin with?

30 seconds is what NCAA women's basketball uses (and WNBA), but the idea is to keep college ball consistent between women's and men's.

24 would be a huge jump from highschool where many don't have shot clocks at all.

exactly right, JJ...3 point shots are still too easy considering risk/reward aspect ratio...you should have to earn that extra point...I mean if you look at a lot of college games, most of the time they become three point shooting contests...the days of dominating in the paint are over...
