saturday notes: NC State just played a better game, more balanced offense, everyone got touches, Villanova was cold from the field. They look like a business type team, the players don't look like they are having any fun on that team. Northern Iowa should take care of Louisville today. They pass very well, shoot lights out, are tough on the boards. Everyone has probably seen the cardinals play a few times too many. This should be the last time. Which would set up the ole Northern Iowa vs NC STate rivalry. Villanova getting knocked off makes things interesting. You can see certain teams;even if they win a game in round 1 that they are too flawed to keep catching multiple breaks.

Interesting notes on West Virginia team which is healthy. #1 in steals last in defensive rebounds, 57th in offensive rebounds, they might have more offensive rebounds than defensive, they don't block many shots.

Notes on Maryland ranked in the bottom 25 percent in team assists, practically last in steals really strong in defensive rebounds, Maryland is actually better on defense than offense where there are in the middle of the league.

It looks to potentially be a very sloppy play, so West Virginia plays a better floor game, dribbling, stealing, passing, Maryland plays a better game in the paint, taking care of the defensive boards, making it tough for teams in the paint, not really getting steals or blocks. I think West Virginia has the edge here since they got their full roster, they press well,and maryland has trouble passing. The key to this game here is West Virginia on the glass. I think they compete on the boards, and win the game.

I like Dayton here, better coaching, and grit, oklahoma is gonna be another big 12 team to fall, no way laying points with the sooners here. Not the way they give games away.
