    He sure did coach at UAB. I couldn't think of where he landed after IU. He was recruiting Demarcus Cousins while he was there.

    He'll use this success at TS to springboard into a better job. Won't sniff anything like IU again though.

    Most of these coaches are the same it's hard to coach when many colleges are just a notch above high school basketball

    No one goes from a HBCU straight to a power conference. Most likely Mike Davis is headed backward not forward from Texas Southern.

    Who else has gone from a HBCU to a power conference? I guarantee he is not the best ever coach from a HBCU to win his conference 2 out of three years. It used to be a guy at Southern University(Avery Johnson's alma mater)who won the conference every year and he never was a coach at a power conference.
