Hawaii's 2 starters probably won't play (Valdez 14.2 ppg, 5.2 rpg, and Thomas 8.3 ppg, 3.7 rpg). Valdez they said may play but he won't be 100%. He could show tonight or Saturday. Their best player coming off the bench, Fleming 9.5 ppg, from local media sources said perhaps he'll be out til the conference playoffs at the earliest. That means Enos or Filipovich will get more playing time, 0.5 ppg or 1.0 ppg respectively. Hawaii plays a fast paced game and usually causes problems for opposing teams. Irvine is out Young and Ndiaye. Ndiaye was out last time they played in Hawaii and Young played well in Hawaii (scoring 15 pts). Irvine plays fairly smart ball and seem to have a decent bench. Bobbitt is key as long as he stays out of foul trouble. I expect Hawaii to be really thin and if they get into any type of foul trouble, expect them to possibly slow down the game rather than their usual type of play (Bobbitt pushing the ball up and down the court). I expect Irvine -7 if both teams were fully healthy. With all these injuries I believe the spread should be up to perhaps -10 or -12. I don't have a play and I'm going to sit this one out but Irvine or no play for me.
