Everyone said SEC was a fraud as well, they got as many teams in as the new crackhead version of the big east yet SEC is 6-0 so far and big east, which had higher seeds, is gone. Every year by the sweet 16 there are teams we can label as frauds because they lost one game, this tourney is so wild some powerhouses are going down every weekend it's just simple math.

Even more amazing is 27 of top 31 teams made the tournament. However that stat has tons to do with conference schedule as well. Top six teams only one plays in a power conference and several top fives are nobodies

I agree bear, that's why I keep asking if the early frauds are now "exposed " who makes it to week three?

The tournament is so wild now. So many small and mid level schools with five upperclassmen starting against 4/5 underclassmen starting at a traditional power that every year there are going to be teams you can label frauds after the fact. That doesn't make them frauds, it means they lost one game. Teams like wichita st are open for criticism fair or not, because of their conference and the schedule. However if a team plays an entire ACC / big ten or other major conference schedule and still earns a three or four seed, one loss does not make them a fraud.

You do agree that them going 6-0 they have overachieved. I mention the SEC only because saying " all the real powers are still alive " after the weekend action is hindsight being 20/20. Few had the SEC running table opening weekend. It's easy to find holes in virtually every team so when one loses that's all you have to highlight. However many of those same teams if they survive we would be highlighting their strengths many seasons end on a single shot. Some real strong teams are gone and some not so strong teams are still here, that is the nature of, and the beauty of this tournament. Especially opening weekend.
