    5-9 against top 50 RPI teams (2-8 against top 40), that's hardly impressive. If the committee looks at their nonconf SOS and how they finished, they're fukked.

    Minnesota actually has a better resume than Iowa.

    I have no f'ing idea why Lunardi says Iowa is a lock but Minnesota is on the bubble (and currently OUT) at the moment.

    Makes no f'ing sense. Minnesota has the same amount of B1G wins and a higher RPI and SOS.

    I still don't understand why they are lock city.

    Their record is padded with rpi +150 teams.

    And like someone mentioned earlier they are 5-9 vs the top 50, 12-11 if you factor in 51-150.

    If anything they have played their way back onto the bubble.

    It is their BPI that is impressive. All loses except one (loss at Michigan State) have been by less than 7 points. They did enough earlier in the season, regardless of the way they are playing now.

    Doesn't matter. BPI = factors in the way you win and lose and margin of victory = eye test. NCCA tournament committee definitely uses the eye test. Iowa's only bad lose, other than in the B1G tournament, is a loss at home to Illinois. That is it. Can't say the same about Minnesota.
