Minnesota choking. By the way that guy King on Minnesota sucks. Missed a point blank lay up, then tried a stupid put back when he should have just grabbed the rebound and ran clock, and just now he was late on a rotation leading to Aaron White 3pter.

    Negative on inside info.

Thought Minny would've folded. Especially with this high scoring of a game.

    This sucks.

Not much you can do when you don't play any defense. 61% FG and over 50% from 3 for Minnesota.

Thank god Oglesby hit that "meaningless" three with 0:06 seconds left!...gave me a push on my 10pt tease (Iowa +6)...I will say this much...Fran McCafferry is fukkin dog shit as a coach!...the Hawkeyes were only down a bucket with 40 seconds left in the game and he has his players start fouling!...fukkin stupid!!...just play good defense and get the ball back for the final possession with a chance to tie or win in regulation...what the fukk was he thinking?!...

You can't make kids care every night.

The only thing we can ever count on as sports bettors is that each team will play up to their ability every night and that the more talented team will win.

When a team doesn't give a shit on a certain night (Iowa's players didn't care tonight) all handicapping goes out the window.

I disagree with you completely. Iowa didn't care? They just got outplayed. Bad teams beat good teams all the time in every sport. Anyone who watched the Big Ten knows that there isn't much of a talent gap between Minnesota and Iowa. Minnesota has underachieved a lot the last month. They are a tourney team, and to bet against them in the biggest game of their season was a no-no.

Maybe we just saw the game differently, but I thought Minnesota finally played up to their potential.

I absolutely feel that the "better team" (which is Iowa) did not care tonight.

It happens in sports, such as it happens in the NBA all the time.

Oh yeah no doubt about it. NBA is all about spot plays and trying to figure out which teams care on which nights.

Do you have an NBA thread?

If you do, I might want to tail it.

Anytime I watch the NBA I just see a bunch of lazy, overpaid, bums who only care about just scraping into the playoffs.

It amazes me....it really does. I played for years (never hoops mind you) and I played balls out every game, every match, every time....and frankly, maybe I was lucky because almost everyone I played with had similar intent.

Haha no. I barely play NBA. Probably make about 5 NBA plays a week. College is my thing. How anyone can play the NBA on a daily basis is beyond me. Then again, if I were being paid millions and had to play 82 games and travel 41 times in 6 months, I'd probably take nights off too lol.

I just see a lot of laziness in sports.

Even in stuff like the NFL, I see a guy like Tom Brady who will break his back for you and you know him and Belichick should get at least 10 wins a year.

Then you saw some bums like the Texans who just GAVE UP.

Pro athletes should be paid based off of nightly production, but that will never happen. If you play like shit, you shouldn't get paid your same paycheck every week. If you paid defensive players for each tackle or sack that they got (like a commission type thing) then you would see doggish effort each week.

My mistake tonight was that I bet on a team that doesn't have a top notch coach so he couldn't motivate his players, and I realize that mistake now.

Guys like Coach K, Boeheim, Izzo, and a few others will get effort every night.

Of course Iowa cared. Road wins are a big part of building a nice tourney resume.
