if every coach did it with contempt and irreverence like popovich does it, it would be the single greatest highlight of each game.

Same with sideline reporters or interview someone from a charity. It's fine to show the charity rep but holy fukk why does it have to be during the game?

The thing about it all too, is that each interview is implemented by a "Television Producer" for each "Game/program" that is being viewed. Some high and mighty producer thought of it first, then permission was asked to either the NCAA or the NBA or whatever dam program that first gave approval, because some TV Exec convinced the head rep for the respective program that it would "boost viewership" because viewer John Bodunk would now feel like he knows what hes talking about when the generically programmed response given by the head coach is close to the same thing he was hootin and hollerin about from his recliner at some point in the second half...."They gottsta box out better and get more rebounds to take this"...."We need to box out"..."You see that Honey?, That's what I just said 5 minutes ago" 'Oh John, you're so smart, now fix the sink you stupid shit if you ever want another blowjob, even I knew that' "What was that honey?" 'Nothing, you're so smart...'
