    Will Cuse lose?

    I don't see how this could happen to BC but ya never know. Anybody have any opinions on BC pulling the upset?

    I don't think so, BC not very good defensively, I think Cuse has too much firepower and will win this game in the 2nd half. Next 2 games will be interesting and difficult for Cuse....Pitt at the Dome then at Miami (Fl).

    It just seems to me that the ML is to low at -425. Makes me wonder if BC has a legitimate chance.

    I agree that they suck on paper that is why this looks like such an easy play... but the low ML has me not pulling the trigger

    line opened at 10.5 with public all over cuse... line been dropping all day down to 8.5... linemakers want u on cuse. bc has tough road game next at UNC and cuse just beat unc at home , before going to bc for what they think is an easy win then back home to face pitt in tough conference game. i think cuse wins but does not cover. vegas doesnt give away money, they wouldn't be dropping line if they thought cuse was going to cover with public all over it. I think cuse wins by 8. GL !

    I think the line dropping means people are putting money on BC... That's how Vegas works.

    Anyway, I just put down 2 units on Cuse -8.5. They've beaten better teams on the road by 15+, BC just isn't that good and Syracuse is great. Let's do it.

    i think greg understands how vegas tries to set traps for us. however, it works both ways. an underdog line will move down if its getting hammered but as of 20-30 min ago, the majority of money was on cuse at -8.5 ( went 78 % to 81% of money on them with line change )
    so if your linemaker, why move line down?? its only going to get more action on cuse bc the general public not even checking betting trends, or if cuse in a bad spot here, etc.. if line moving down to get someone like me to bet on bc and win my money, then i understand that, but vegas loses more money in the long run bc more people win by betting on cuse.. i think the key here is the line was off to begin with... bc is absolutely horrible so it should of opened at -12, not 10.5.. GL to greg and everyone else!

    I'm not going to claim to know what i'm talking about on this, but it's definitely strange how the lines drop for the road favorite. Same thing happened last night with Arizona playing @ USC. Line opened at 14 and was down to 12 by game time. Don't know for sure, but gotta think public money was on Arizona. Maybe not as lopsided as this BC - Syracuse contest currently is (81% on Cuse according to Spread site). Illinois game had fishy spread last night too. Why? Vegas wanted money on Illinois as they felt Northwestern could steal a win in that spot.

    Vegas is taking a shot here. Perfect spot for let down (trap) game. Just coming off UNC and with Pitt waiting in horizons. But, Syracuse is just so imposing, deep, athletic, etc. that I cannot see BC playing with them. BC struggles down low, struggles on the board, especially defensively, and hasn't been shooting the ball well...though they do have guys that can make shots. Even further, they don't defend, don't play tough, and their home court averages about 2-3K per game, and holds roughly 9K...they call it the Conte Morgue, rather than Forum....always so empty.

    If Cuse comes out to play, they should NOT have a problem with BC. But, college basketball is nuts - this year proving to be no different - so who knows. But, as a betting man, can't see how you side with BC in this situation. Either go with 'Cuse or don't touch it.

    Line's probably dropping because betters aren't taking the bait on this one. Cuse plays down to opponents sometimes (see vs. Miami). Because of Boeheim's infamous home scheduling early in the season, they aren't very road tested. That being said, there's no way Cuse loses this game. BC is not a good team and even if Cuse's offense doesn't show up their defense will keep them ahead.

    -8.5 seems like a fair line but i'm on the ML here -407. Cuse could win by 4 or by 40, either way they'll win and risking a lot of cash for a marginal return doesn't seem like a bad idea to me on this one.

    I almost never play a line when its between 7 and 9 points. Its just too risky, but ML plays at that level I think are pretty good bets. Plus, its take away alot of stress watching games when all you need is for your team to win. Sweating out a 7 point win vs 9 point win is for degenerates
