Spot NCAA Hoops Play: Minnesota -2.5

I don't usually play NCAAB till around Feb/March, so I'm no expert, however Minnesota -2.5 looks pretty rock solid

Minnesota always good at home and have repeated success this year, Michigan without McGarady versus a team that has Eliason in the middle, I like the rebounding edge and paint scoring to go with Minnesota.

If Michigan shoots light out, they could win here, but I don't see it.

    Minnesota -2.5

    2 units

Probably my 5th play of the year.

Addendum: I'm praying BigDay isn't already on this, if so I'm mushed. I am 0-15 the last 15 games I'm on the same side as BigDay

As a fellow Gopher fan, I would agree if McGary was playing but he isn't.

Michigan doesn't pose a huge threat in the post without him (Minnesota's biggest weakness).

I'm an arkansas fan, they are god awful over the past few years and can't win on the road; and they whooooped minny. Look at Minny's schedule it's soft as a silk turd. They haven't proven anything this year, I think mich is the play.

Minnesota beat FSU which is better than any team Michigan has beat this season.

Minnesota was up 4 at halftime against Arkansas. They played one terrible half of basketball in the 2nd half. The day before they gave Syracuse all they could handle.

Minnesota has one of the best guard rotations in the B1G. They are very weak upfront. Michigan is a good matchup for Minny since McGary is out.

Strong lean towards Michigan, most likely will pull the trigger.

I don't think the press will bother Michigan all that much. They play a style that is very suitable to win on the road and while the loss McGary hurts, its not the end of the world in this matchup. It's not like Minny has anyone that can dominate down low.

While this is true, the biggest advantage of McGary being out is Minnesota doesn't have to deal with him on the defensive end.

Hmmmm just gunna leave this boxscore here lol http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/michig...-201311220213/

    Please revise your statement haha

I'm not saying this game is lock for any side by any means, I'm just saying that Minnesota hasn't proven anything yet. This could be a statement game for them, but I'm rolling with Mich who was played a very tough schedule and hung with some of the top teams in the country, and just in case you didn't check the box score, they beat FSU on their home court haha.

Actually that game was in Puerto Rico, not on FSU's homecourt.

They both have wins over FSU. Michigan by 2 in overtime. Minnesota by 10 where they lead almost the whole way.

Sorry didn't read the court info, just saw they were listed as the home team, but still a win is a win. And the Fact is Mich has played a tougher schedule by far, and you didn't do much research before spouting off about how Minnesota has wins against better teams lol.
