    Is the NIT like lesser bowl games?

    Like a good football team with big BCS hopes ending up in the Poulon Weedeater Sun Bowl against Bum Fuk State? Do we fade the teams that were on the bubble because they got their hopes up for making the big dance and now they don't want to be in the NIT?

    There is some truth. For instance, Arizona last year didn't give two penetrating shits about the game vs. Bucknell. As a result, you had a 1 seed lay an egg on their home court vs. one of the worst teams in the tournament.

    However, I feel that is the exception, as most teams want to win no matter what.
