    Miami Hurricanes -6.5 @ FSU

    I bet against FSU earlier in the year and to me(basketball beginner) they looked bad. No defense..just a weak team.

    Miami has Larkin, Scott, Johnson in the center playing well.....

    Does Miami continue to roll? Or does a rivalry game end their streak with Nole underdog playing lights out and winning straight up?

    Friends say FSU has no defense to stop Canes, canes win by 9/10.

    I'm going to look into this, but initial reaction is pound Miami-6.5. FSU is not a tough place to play this year, not far from home for Miami, and Miami is a actually great on the road this season. They're playing great and I don't see this matchup being the hiccup in their acc stretch. Like I said I plan to look into this more but my first thought is the canes roll on the noles by double digits.

    I'm a Nole season ticket holder and when I saw this line I thought maybe somebody from Miami was injured/suspended etc.

    Every good team we have played this year has kicked the shit out of us big time, and just ignoring the freak part of a home rivalry game - I'd think Miami covers this 8 to 9 out of 10 times.

    FSU is going to get worked on the glass. This is it for them though...so I expect them to put up a good effort. Whether it'll be enough is another story.

    Agree, totally.

    (1) FSU got pounded at home by Duke [Miami rocked Duke]
    (2) UNC beat FSU @ FSU and @ UNC [Miami rocked UNC]
    (3) Miami already killed FSU @ UofMiami
    (4) FSU's wins are all slim margins against bad teams (Maryland, Virginia, Clemson)
    (5) Wake Forest blew out FSU
    (6) Miami is hitting their stride with Reggie Johnson in the lineup
    (7) Apparently the line was set low b/c of the Kadji injury, but reports say that he will play.

    I'm hammering this pick. I actually got it at -6. Hopefully I am right, because I rarely feel this confident.

    Kadji might not be playing he injured his shoulder last game. It is fsu or no play here. They have the d to slow the canes down here just depends if their shots are going down or not. Expect a big game from Snaer. No play for me but that's my 2 cents.

    Not sure if he is playing or not but that is a major concern for me yes. They are not the same team without him (0-1).He spaces the floor and creates alot of match up problems. I would say that he is their most important player (him or Larkin is debatable). Couple that with Fla states solid d and the rivalry concept and you can't tell me it is smart to take Miami here.

    I'm not overthinking this one. Miami=hot team, deep bench, big advantage inside. FSU=out of miracles, not much of a home advantage, trouble scoring against even average defenses.

    i like miami here.. even if they have a bad night scoring it should not be a problem because their d will shut down fla st.. just read an article on how they feel like they are not getting respect bc duke is ranked in front of them still after they walloped duke. miami is playing with a chip right now.. it will be more then a one possession game at the end and that means free throws worst case scenario!

    but it's probably the biggest, most public (i.e. square) book in the US. Among all books, there may be games with higher percentages...but I would guess that Miami is taking in the highest volume. You can argue it's not "the #1 bet", but it's still a very very public play.

    Every time I've doubted Miami this year, they've covered... And those were in spots against teams better than FSU. Fukk the rivalry angle. If anything, it will make Miami pound the shit out of this team.

    ive watched every miami game this year ( finally we have a good team, 1st since jack mcclinton) but they are playing the best basketball in the nation as we speak..they are hungry on the boards, they shoot the triple, and they SHARE the ball..they absolutley have been punishing teams lately and are playing out of there minds..when i saw this line at -6.5 i had to do a double take..granted miami can slack on the road @ boston college 69-68 but in all i say miami covers by 3-4 points

    The one thing that gets me when I see ppl write about games like this one is this. If you like a team, bet them. That doesn't mean to go bet your rent money on the game. Just the amount that fits your budget. I'm on Mia -6. If they don't cover, they don't cover. I will live to bet another day. If you bet FSU, you are betting that they will get up and play the game of their season to stay close with Miami. If that's the case bet them and good luck. As for me, Miami is the one of the best team playing right now. I wish everyone good luck.

    I've got Miami (-3.5) and Syracuse as well (-1.5) against UCONN tonight in a parlay!...With James Southerland back, the Orange are good as anybody in the country...Two CLEARLY better teams and not giving up a whole lot of points...I'll be damned to hell if this doesn't hit tonight!..
