St Johns Red Storm -7 2 Units
Steve Lavin's young squad is growing up before our eyes over the last couple weeks. The Red Storm have won 4 in a row overall, with wins against two local rivals in Seton Hall and Rutgers and a NCAA bound team in Notre Dame. The key here is they're 4-0 ATS in those games. They are healthy and the maturation process has finally hit stride.
Meanwhile, Depaul comes into Carnesecca Arena limping after a 38pt blowout loss at Pitt. They are reeling, especially on the road, where they are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 road games vs teams with a winning record. And those pesky Johnnies are a solid 13-7. What really caught my eye was the following: The Blue Demons are 0-7 ATS in their last 7 St Johns matchups. Enough said. Johnnies take them down by double digits.
Missouri Tigers -4 1 Unit
"The Battle of the Tigers" I like to call this one. Mizzou hasn't been the Mizzou of last year's regular season, however, a visit to last-place LSU should help, and so should the return of leading scorer Laurence Bowers (16.8 PPG). The senior forward will end a five-game absence Wednesday night as 17th-ranked Missouri goes for a third straight victory. They are 6-2 ATS in their last 8 road games (even without Bowers). Meanwhile, last place LSU is not playing for the NCAA's. They are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games. Looks like great odds that this ends up in our favor.
Towson Tigers +1.5 1 Unit
Yes, I know, Towson has lost 3 straight overall. But that's OK, because they travel better than the average CAA team. Towson is 4-1 overall in their last 5 road games, as well as 6-1 ATS in their last 7 road games. And then there is the "mighty" ODU Monarchs. They are 2-17 overall, including 0-7 in the CAA. They haven't won a game since mid-December. On top of this awful record, they are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 games overall, and 0-7 ATS in all 7 of their conference games.
