    My "Gimme" Today Is Going Against The Public (12-28-12)

    High Point +1

    High Point is taking on Chattanooga in the Dr Pepper Classic in Chattanooga, TN. Even though Chattanooga is the host, I like High Point here. Chattanooga is reeling right now with injury after injury, fielding only a 10 man squad tonight. The point guard position looks like its going to be their Achillis heel. They have a freshman, Farad Cobb, starting with a walk on as his back up. Though Cobb is averaging only 15 minutes/game, he still has as many turnovers as assists this season. High Point has proven they can get turnovers. They forced 26 turnovers against Western Michigan December 16th.

    If this is a close game like the odds makers think it will be, free throws can be a factor. High Point leads 78-63% in this category. The line has moved a full point toward Chattanooga at 5Dimes. Maybe it'll go even higher, but I think High Point will probably win straight up anyway.
