    Apparently the store he shoplifted from has a policy that allows those caught shoplifting to pay a fine and they wont be arrested. I've met MCW at an event and he was a very nice kid. Not someone I wouldve expected to do this.

    I have to agree with this. I still have 103,000 in student loans that i wouldnt of had to pay if i played football. That is 25,000 per year that they get. This doesnt include the free food they get and the room and board. And considering that really every team doesnt really have a nba caliber player this is payment enough.

    this happened last week,

    was with a group of football players, something went down at the store, ended up being a misunderstanding.

    (im guessing some football players took some crap and then he was guilty by association)

    surprised no one heard of this till now

    This. He had a robe and some gloves... Worth about $100. The store fined him $500. If he agreed to pay the fine, the school nor the police would be notified. This is a common practice at the store.

    Next year, he'll be a millionaire!

    They get a free ride including tuition, food, room, and also all the athletic apparel they want no reason to buy clothes when you get handed 40+ clothing items from Nike every year. Must have been a pretty nice robe to rack up a $500 bill/
