Stevens said no Butler opponent has been as strong as the Hoosiers since the 2007 Florida team that sent six players to the NBA. The Bulldogs led Florida in the final four minutes of a regional semifinal of the NCAA Tournament before losing 65-57. That turned out to be Todd Lickliter's last game as their coach.
Stevens, who grew up in Zionsville cheering the Hoosiers, said they are the best in the country and it's "not close."
"They are the team to beat all the way through April," Stevens said.
