A lot of returning talent with some senior leadership for Oregon with the likes of E.J. Singler (Kyle's brother) and Carlos Emory. They were one of the last few teams left out of the tourney last year, and they also added a stud freshman by the name of Dominic Artis, who very well might be the freshman of the year in the Pac-12. Another major factor will be transfer Arsalan Kazemi from Rice, who just won an NCAA waiver today, and will make his Oregon debut on Friday. Kazemi averaged a double double all 3 years at Rice and will bring a lot of energy to their frontcourt.
One the other side, Vanderbilt lost all 5 starters, 3 to the NBA, and doesn't have a single senior in their 8 man rotation. Their current starters averaged 14, 13, 4, and 3 minutes a game last year, and the other is a true freshman.
All of this combined with the fact that the game is being played on Oregon's home floor makes this a large play for me.
