This tournament is the greatest hustle going...

Every year, degenerates and losers that worship Universities that used them for their money cling to their seats watching these coinflips that come down to 3-pointers and foul trouble...

I'm more concerned with the Blue Jays left field position battle between Thames and Snider...

I'm not sure where people seem to think winning means that team is the best team. Like the 2006 Cardinals were the best team in baseball? Hardly... they won the least games of playoff teams in a god awful NL Central. They were probably not top 10. It is just who plays the best at the end.

And They only beat one top 20 team to reach the final four, although I do consider Louisville a top 10 team when healthy

Next year maybe we blind bet the Big East Tourney Champ to win the National Title.

I'm not sure why we are appointing Louisville the champs. Kentucky/Ohio State championship game is looming very large.

This bracket is my entry into my old work's pool... winner gets $1500 and I'd feel pretty good about my chances if Marshall wasn't out. I wish I could change my pick to Kentucky.

I wouldn't be annointing Ohio State anything quite yet. Solid team, but UNC & KU both match-up pretty well against them. Or Kentucky for that matter. Louisville seems to just defy the odds of reailty with their run this year. They're not even comparable to UCONN from last year. UCONN actually had some pretty solid talent from 1-5 in the starting lineup. Not saying the Cards are not talented, but UCONN could score from almost any position - Louisville is still a bit challenged offensively.

You do have talent my friend, but from a scoring perspective we all know this is not the strongest of squads. And there just isn't a comparison to UConn from last year. Kemba Walker was a player of the year guy, no one on Louisville is in that same vein. To me, Louisville is the very definition of a TEAM that is winning. Reflects on Pitino as probably his best coaching job ever.

that is what can happen in a bracket style tourney, the 'best' team almost never wins. its who can get hot, and who can get the right match ups.

I'd say the only playoffs where the best team USUALLY wins is the NBA playoffs, but even then, it doesn't happen every year. Like last year for instance.

i respect the fact you stick by your team but with high powered offensive teams ville does not have the ability to score with em.... yes there defense is great but they are seriously handicapped on offense.... for louisville to move on they need the perfect storm

Ville's Cinderella slippers come off next week. UF and UL were good but flawed teams. Both were a step behind the elite teams. UL will get bounced immediately in the final 4.

This is precisely how I'm hoping to win the 256-man handicapping tourney.

They also won the Big East tournament, that doesn't make the Big East amazing, it makes Louisville a good team that got healthy at the right time.

My bracket looks like shit, but I have Kentucky beating Ohio State to win it all. So that's looking good.

Yeah, people try to make it seem like this means any team in the Big East can win it all. Not really true... Louisville just had a stretch this year where they were awful. Weren't they in the top 10 for a good part of the season before they started losing left and right?

Exactly. L'Ville got healthy and was the best team in that conference. Hence them winning the conference tourney.

If the Big East was so great, how did the Big East #1 already get knocked out?

Likewise, the conference only gr one Final four spot.

The Big East is a great conference but threads like these are misinformed.

Louisville was not the 7th best team in he league. You can't honestly tell me teams like USF were better.
