Majerus was the same way after this game.

He was a borderline basket case.

Looks like Majerus has himself a special group of kids. I'd rather coach kids like this, instead of the "one and done" guys.

one little known fact is that actually roughly 0.5% of the male population actually gets periods like women do, and I think this guy might really be one of them, would not be surprised if he is one and if he was getting his period during the press conference, so cut the guy a break, and I also have read that males who get periods get hit much harder emotionally than women, and we know how things can be with women, so give the kid a break if that's what happened here

Anyone who does has never played team sport.

    I like the passion.

The guy next to him showed no emotion.

The coach even showed no emotion.

Still no excuse to have a meltdown like that.

Maybe not in that clip, but Majerus couldn't even finish his sentences during that same press conference.

Not sure they could have played any harder, losing by 4 to the #1 seed.

Id cry too if i played a game that should have been an elite 8, final 4 type game in the second round. St louis is a top 10 team in my power ratings and i know the computers love them. This whole selection committee thing is rigged. You put a top 10 team as a 9 seed? How?????

    +1

Conklin is no pro baller, he is just a hardworking kid who manufactures plays, time after time. He wanted the best for his team and the emotion got to him. I give the kid all the credit and respect in the world.

No, Nicholson was A-10 POY; I think Conklin was on All A-10 First Team, though.

Putting the game itself aside, which is what the original posts asks you to do, if you can watch this entire clip & not laugh even once you are not human.

Because they're not a Top-10 team. In fact, they didn't receive a single vote in the final AP poll.

How/why was St. Louis a Top-10 team? Even if you put the "rigged" ratings aside, their RPI was 31 -- the equivalent of a 7 or 8 seed.

Rpi is the least useful measure ever invented. If the season was 100+ games with teams playing more teams, it may be a decent tool

So let me get this straight: RPI is useless, polls and seedings are "rigged," but your ranking system -- which has St. Louis in the Top-10 -- is spot on?

Look, I have a lot of respect for Majerus and what he's done at St. Louis. This was a gritty, tough team that gave MSU all it could handle. With that being said, if you had St. Louis as a Top-10 team in your personal rankings, I'm starting to see why you've been admittedly "off" this year with your predictions.

youve obviously never played sports at a high level. And if you did, you probably sucked which means you didnt care. I won a state championship in basketball and was recruited to play both basketball and baseball by several division 1 schools until i was in bad accident which prevented me from playing collegiately. I would have felt and expressed myself exactly like this kid did at any level when your eliminated from something so special to you
