    Oregon +4.5 Tuesday

These two teams took turns blowing each other out during the regular season. Ducks were +9 and lost by 16 on New Year's Eve at Washington. Now they go back to the scene of the crime and they're only +4.5? A lot probably has to do with the way Oregon handled Washington last month I guess, but I think this line is lower for a reason. I'm going to side with the more well-rounded team with the better coach. Oregon covers and maybe even wins SU in my book.

    Thoughts?

Oregon is avg around 86 ppg last 5, with 4.5 the huskies have to put up 90, which they maybe capable of since the O def is subpar. Idk what the O/U is yet but id prob just bet that over. Along with the Oakland over also. These games (NIT/CIT) seem to be like all star games or NBA-D league games, in that the defensive intensity just isnt there.

Why sweat a line when you can just hammer the over. I agree Twiz nobody plays defense in these secondary tournaments. I will be on the over however it is not posted yet. I am guessing it is going to be 165 to open, possibly higher

Everyones looking to open eyes. I know the oregon/iowa game went OT but still it was 155 and hit over 200. Nothing huge from my pocket but its definitely worth a unit or 2. But as far as the spread goes, after a hard fought OT game, Id lean washington cause they are home. BOL to all

Twiz the Iowa Oregon game did not go into OT. All points were scored in regulation. I watched the entire game and it most certainly was not hard fought. It was open jumpers and layups.

    Here is the box score

79 shot attempts given up by oregon def at home and in regulation (thanks adam). Makes me think washington will have sooooo many opportunities. Still on the over, BOL all nite

Probably going to parlay Washington ML along with another team or tease them down to a pickem. Washington isn't losing against Oregon. This is a big game, and UW is playing with a chip on their shoulder. If they play like they did against Northwestern, they'll cover.

It alwasy comes down to how focused Washington is. From the looks of the Northwestern game, they'll be ready.

This game will be different than those out of conference tournament games. These guys know each other, and wantg to beat each other. OVER is not a SAFE play.

I'm not sure why you are confused by this line given the way the last meeting went. It's very common for Washington to be a 9 point fave at home during the regular season to a decent conference opponent. But when you consider that the Ducks beat the Huskies a little over a month ago by 25 along with the fact that this is a postseason game, the line seems pretty much dead on to me.

I would take UW in this spot. Talentwise, they are on a whole different level.

When UW is good, they rarely lose night games @ home.

I think the Over is by no means a lock but I like it more than the under. It is at 154.5 now. I know it took Under money from the opening but I disagree with the move. Do these teams really wanna beat each other that bad? It is the postseason NIT, not the heart of the PAC-12 schedule. Teams always want to win but look at the amount of defense that has been played in post season tournaments. Northwestern was severely out matched athletically. That will not be the case tonight. I guess when push comes to shove do you think either Oregon or Washington are going to be committed to playing defense. I can't see it. Looks like a run and gun game to me where even if they shoot a poor percentage the volume of shots should get them up and Over the total

I disagree. I think they're fairly similar, and no one can argue Romar is a better coach than Altman.

I would agree Washington has much more talent. Coaching is a toss up IMO. Washington has 2 late lottery/1st round picks. Joesph/Simms/Singler are all very good college players but Joesph is the only true athlete here. I just look in the difference in teams and how they play. Washington does not value the basketball and plays very disinterested at times. They know how talented they are and turn it on and off where they feel like it. That can be very dangerous. Wroten is such a beast but he is so worried about the no look pass or breaking someone down via the cross over rather than making the sure play. Guy is a turnover waiting to happen.

All I remember is that there were some pretty crazy results ove the winter break and between xmas and ny. Made not to self to be careful next year. Too many distractions and too much time.

That's fine but what don't you get about this line. Are you saying it should be 6 or 7?

Jumping on Oregon's ML. They've been scoring a ton lately, not sure if Washington can hang with them as hot as they've been.

Only thing to worry with Oregon is all their monster offense outputs of late have come at home.

Washington ML is very safe IMO, find a good ML to pair along with it and parlay it. IMO it will be chalk in the NIT, Drexel and Washington ML pays about -120

Romar is a joke. Guy has two bonafide first round draft picks, and his team looks inferior. Only a coach that bad can pull of such a feat.
