Northwestern probably won't get in if they lose. I really think the NCAA wants them in the field this year. They'll beat Minnesota and solidify their spot.
I think they've been doing the BTT for 14 years... Illinois has the best record in the BTT in that frame. Slightly better winning percentage than 2nd place Ohio State.
Obviously a bad team this year by Illinois standards but the year Illinois was 13-18 they won 3 and got to the championship game.

As I pointed out when I got hit on Iowa +7 last week, Illinois played very poorly at home against Iowa (19 turnovers) and still won by 11. That is scary for Iowa here, don't you think? What if Illinois plays well? 30 point win. If Illinois plays poorly, that just ensures it will be close.

I think coaching is pretty big in the tournament. For whatever reason, Weber's teams have played better in the BTT than they did in the regular season generally speaking. Dont' know why, but considering Leonard and Paul both have NBA hopes, it'll help they'll be focused with plenty of NBA scouts on hand tomorrow.
Who cares? This is the most back-asswards Illinois team in forever. Weber will be put out of his misery soon; Hawks might just finish him off tomorrow.

lol the point is they won by 11 playing poorly and with Iowa's best shooter having a great game. Not a good sign for Iowa, all I'm saying.

I see it a different way though. Iowa did finish 2 games ahead in the Big 10 standings than Illinois. I think the line is -2 for that very reason.

That week long run consisted of his final 3 days (almost half the week) at -12.?U. Most people lose that in a day or so from what I understand, but No Coin paces himself, makes those losses add up over time, not all at once. Time to take it to the bank!
