The only REAL conference tournament where one team is the favorite over the field is the SEC. And that isn't an endorsement of Kentucky. The SEC has 1 great team, and 11 teams ranging from atrocious to mediocre.

At least Missouri will give Kentucky some competition.

Cuse is the best team in the BE this year and they should win this tourney, but there are at least 4 or 5 teams that could beat them if they have a good game: Marquette, Georgetown, Notre Dame, West Virginia and maybe Louisville if they could get their offense going. While I do think that the Cuse should win this in MSG, a court they are very familiar with, and most likely the biggest fan base, +125 just doesn't justify a bet on them to win the tourney with this many good teams involved.

Now when cuse was 10-1 to win the national title, that was the time to take a futures bet on them.

Everyone thinking Marquette will win makes me feel good about Syracuse's chances. My first inkling was Marquette as well...

Ugh another Syracuse scandal when they are having their best year ever. Wonder if they can ignore this one as well, first the whole Bernie Fine thing, then the law suit against Boheim, then the wole fab melo suspension, and now the drug scandal (check out Yahoo just posted about an hour ago). I really hope they can keep their heads and remain focused, but at least for the BE tourney I would say that this might be a distraction, especially if any of the current players were involved.

Oh there is no doubt that Syracuse is the best team, it's just that it would be silly for them to overextend themselves with a one-seed virtually sewn up already. So I am picking Marquette because I think they are the second best team in the BE right now and they actually WANT to win this tournament.

As for home court advantage, Syracuse actually has the second biggest advantage here behind St. John's.

    Confirmed. GL

I throw some of my points on a bunch of "futures". Helps prevent losing all of them at once. Sports Investing.....

I just tossed a unit on Pitt +8500. Line dropped to +5000 prior to UCONN tip FWIW.

If these guys can get their heads out of their a****, they can make a run here.

I dont even need them to win it, just to make it to the final so I can hedge and lock up a little profit.

Oh, no doubt. At those odds though, I could probably hedge if they make it to Friday even.

I do not think they will win it but I think they can win 3 games.

i think louisville seton hall winner has a decent chance as a longshot. (assuming seton beats providence, who knows with this team).

Marquette's path to the final is definitely the 'easiest' looking. I like em for the fact they have never really won anything and will be hungry

Got West Virginia at +1700 to win the Big East and Georgetown at around +750.

Excited about the WV bet. Kevin Jones looks like a potential First Team All American IMO. Unreal

I like those odds, Tourney is all about the matchups, if they get a few breaks they can win this thing. Hate the fact they got screwed with Vandy being put in their braket. By far the best #5 seed, Cuse will have a really really tough game if they end up playing them, I actually think they would have a tougher time against Vandy or FSU than against Ohio State.

However, with the way that Cuse has played the last month I think that 12-1 is about right, hope they decide to start playing up to their potential again once the tourney starts.
