SDSU has been playing down to competition lately, and that's primarily because they aren't generating much offense from their defense. Furthermore their shooting percentage from beyond the arc has been bad, unlike the team last year that ran the table in the MWC, this could be what keeps Colo. in the game or even win SU. Colorado St. is coming off a great win against the Lobos, and Wyoming which is a quality team defensively, looking to extend their winning streak to 3.
Colo. St. beat SDSU previously in the year, a 77-60 rout. Don't expect that to happen in Viejas Arena, but this game should be close according to my numbers. If Colo. St starts to knock down some 3's early this will play into exactly what Colo. wants, they most likely will be going with a 4 guard lineup hopefully creating some turnovers. Colorado State has dropped eight straight on the road in conference play, including five this season by an average of 15.2 points, but this a bubble team, SDSU has already made the tourny, look for Colo. St. to come out and play their hearts out.
This is a 1 unit play for me. Colo. St. also a good line to tease up for insurance.
