Tyler Bernardini (~13 points a game on a team that averages 65, roughly 20% of their offensive output) is out for Penn, tonight. Presumably to rest for tomorrow's big match up with Harvard. Not sure why Penn thinks they have this game in the bag, though. Dartmouth, despite their unimpressive record (5-21), has hung with everyone in the Ivy, before typically fading late within the final 5 or so minutes of the game. Dartmouth almost knocked off Penn on their home court just a few weeks ago (losing by 3, 58-55).
Dartmouth is 4-2-1 ATS L6, while Penn is just 1-4-1 ATS L6 and 7-2 ATS overall this season v. teams with a winning record.
The sitting of Bernardini demonstrates that Penn is looking ahead to Harvard tomorrow. Great spot for Dartmouth, at home.
I have calculated a 63-59 Penn win with Dartmouth covering the +7 and OVER 121.
Hopefully Dartmouth can still cover...this is what they usually do (hang around), so I'm not surprised. They just need to close the game semi-strong, which they usually haven't. I thought they would tonight without T.B. in the game for Penn.
